hello everyone,
My application reached cic office on 25 august. I have applied under NOC 0911 which is a cold NOC so there is nothing to worry about CAP but my biggest concern at this very moment is that my self assessed points equals 67.

1. Education= 23 points ( Integrated bachelor+masters 5 years , though WES have mentioned on front page that Canadian equivalence=Bachelors and Masters degree but they put a star in end at last page stating due to integrated nature of program it was not possible to differentiate between undergraduate and graduate study-which make me anxious whether they will award me full 23 points

2. IELTS ( R-7.5, L-8.5, S-7, W-6.5) = 23 points

3. Age = 12 points

4. Experience = 9 points

5. French = Level A1 ( I dont know whether they will give me any point or not so i have assumed it) = 0 points (do you think they can give me 1 point ..???

TOTAL= 67

So i will like hear valuable opinion of seniors and experienced members about my Education and french points??? Lying exactly on edge is making me nervous ??? ??? ??? :'( :'( :'(

U should be awarded with 23 point for ur education...

So this will bring 67 points....SO u should not fall any trouble......:)

All the best buddy....:)

Hi thanks for prompt reply. Should affidavit be on stamp paper?

@ issteven

# YES one can apply in 2 different NOC, same time.
# 2174 & 2173 are not similar job roles.
2174 is more towards frontend user POV
2173 is more towards to system & technology design
Kind of yes, both places programmers are involved but, that depends on the NOC requirements and Job roles, what present profile indicates.

You can refer these links FYR:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2174
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2173

Applying now for:
2174 - No fruitful chances
2173 - Yes, positive Hopes

Hello,

Wondering can someone apply for 2173 and 2174 at the same time? looks like they are very similar jobs and many programmers do both works?

Help needed from seniors.

Can anyone with a better insight gives us some info.

Any idea that the recent cap update with the overall accepted applications reaching above 4000, applications sent up to which dates do these cap numbers represent?

I am planning to send my application in October under the NOC 3112 (General Physician)

I heard from someone that applications sent in May are still under process. If that is correct, what is the chance that if applications sent in October would be safe. Because if applications from May have made the cap reach up to 5000, then it is very alarming and the caps may be filled by the applications sent up to September.

I am too worried because i think i am already late as i plan to send my application in about 3 weeks from now. The reason being that for doctors, the evaluating authority is Medical Council of Canada and their verification process is too lengthy.

If anyone with better insight and information can update, i think that would be helpful for many new applicants.

Thank you in advance.
