Thanks Diplo for the reply... :-X

This is very helpful. I guess that the PCC request will be from NDVO and might be mentioned in the e-mail which I would receive mentioning the file number.

:)

Any 9th May applicant from NDVO got MR, RPRF or PCC request ?
When can i expect mine :(

That is quite possible. From the point of view of the applicant, PER date reflects PER Checkpoint irrespective if it was ready 1 week before, but mail sent late. So as you suggested, still it falls under the completeness category.

Since applicants have received PER till end May, those apps that "are ready to be sent PER " necessarily need to be in June.. :) :D

If we consistently see steady increasing trend in PERs from SS trend for the next 4 - 5 days (say around 10-15 CC/ PERs per day) then we can be more aligned to the theory of completeness check as the basis for CAPS....

The email mentioning the file number (PER) will be posted by CIO. Then file transfer will take place and your application will be allocated to a NDVO Immigration program assistant (IPA). Upon review of your file he will request you to provide him with PCC for the sake of security check in a written communication. So, PER will be the last time you will hear from Sydney. NDVO will take you from there.

Hi, I can present a thought to explain this situation.

When they started checking FSW 2014 application in June and July I don't think a lot of case officers at CIC were put on FSW 2014 program, as the focus was to first clear pending FSW 2013 cases at the earliest, plus in that timeframe annual (fall) student visa cases are also handled. These students leave for Canada in August or so, each year.

A lot of case officers have now (September onwards) been deployed on FSW 2014 cases, since some are freed up from FSW 2013 and may be some more from other programs like student visas etc. FSW 2013 applicants are mostly at VO stages now (if not already in Canada, by now) and (fall) students applying to Canada are either in Canada already or have been refused a while back. So nothing pending there!

Since there is a lot of application pending from FSW 2014 and resources at CIC are somewhat available, the focus is on FSW 2014 and hence the higher 'update' numbers lately. This should likely continue till either the outstanding (as in, outstanding for evaluation at CIC) applications for FSW 2014 decrease substantially or a new program at CIC starts (like Express Entry, may be), where the focus needs to shift post receiving large number of applications there.

The above is my line of thought on the asked question.

This seems quite logical Oscar. Thanks for your take on the matter. +1.

Hi friends
I have just noticed that a new generic form was introduced in june 2014. I sent my application on June 18 by DHL and received by CIC on June 23. I filled the march 2014 generic form.

Put some light on the following:
on which date the new form was introduced ?
If later than June 18, will it affect my application ??
If it will then how ??
Is it subject to rejection ?

Thank you everyone for congratulations regarding my RPRF payment request :)

And it's not all - I've just received a passport request, just two hours after I've paid the RPRF! Kyiv office continues to surprise with their unbelievable speed :D

Moreover, as I'm currently in U.S., Kyiv office has requested me to mail my passport to CPC-Ottawa. That's very nice of them, as otherwise I would've had to travel to Kyiv by myself (Ukrainian law does not allow to mail passports internationally to/from Ukraine).

That's excellent Dmitry! Congrats! +1

They are indeed moving super quickly and it was nice to allow you to send it to CPC-Ottawa. Soon you should have your very own visa in your hands. I'm excited for you just thinking about it :) ;D :D.

Thank you everyone for congratulations :)

Thank you CanOl :) No, I'm not the first one, there are several other FSW 2014 applicants who have got the visa and landed already (per the spreadsheet and per their posts on this forum).
Still, I'm trying to organize everything that depends on me as quickly as possible, and it's pretty funny to see how 5 columns from "RPRF request" to "Passport Sent" for my entry are all nicely filled with 9/23/2014 now :)

Lol, those 9/23/2014 entries all lined up like that are so cool. Just went and checked myself.

Hi Friends,

I have a US credit card (visa). But I left US almost a year ago and at present I am in India. As I wanted all communication from bank with my Indian address I got it changed. Now to pay the RPRF Fee online I guess I can use that.. At the time of payment I need to enter the address which I guess I should put my Indian address... Just wanted to confirm if anybody have done so..
Also, we need to pay CAD490 per adult for RPRF.. So I have to pay CAD980 for myself and my spouse... As I will be paying with US credit card do I need to convert CAD980 in USD and pay USD885 or if I will enter 980 then automatically I will be charged approximately $885 (converted into equivalent CAD amount).. Hope I am not asking a silly question.. I have not used one country's CC for other country ever..
