Sorry but as per CIC, it's December 2014 as per the below quoted text from their website ..

"Note: As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015."

Did anyone had to obtain extension for PCC from their local visa office? What did they say? for how long did they provide the extension?

Thanks!!

Hi, I can present a thought to explain this situation.

When they started checking FSW 2014 application in June and July I don't think a lot of case officers at CIC were put on FSW 2014 program, as the focus was to first clear pending FSW 2013 cases at the earliest, plus in that timeframe annual (fall) student visa cases are also handled. These students leave for Canada in August or so, each year.

A lot of case officers have now (September onwards) been deployed on FSW 2014 cases, since some are freed up from FSW 2013 and may be some more from other programs like student visas etc. FSW 2013 applicants are mostly at VO stages now (if not already in Canada, by now) and (fall) students applying to Canada are either in Canada already or have been refused a while back. So nothing pending there!

Since there is a lot of application pending from FSW 2014 and resources at CIC are somewhat available, the focus is on FSW 2014 and hence the higher 'update' numbers lately. This should likely continue till either the outstanding (as in, outstanding for evaluation at CIC) applications for FSW 2014 decrease substantially or a new program at CIC starts (like Express Entry, may be), where the focus needs to shift post receiving large number of applications there.

The above is my line of thought on the asked question.

great work... you did really thorough analysis... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

it leads to one fact as well that now cio may speed up

good morning ISTians and around ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Guys,
Just a question about the medical request.

1)How long after the PER does the VO send the MR?
2) do they send the request by mail or email?

3)How could i know if the VO has received my file or not?

All the best,
Hashem

Hi everyone,

Does anybody knows what items the VO look at? I mean, if I have my PER already, what things can reject my application, God doesn't allow it?

Thanks a lot!! ;D

Hi guys, i am done with the medicals and I just travelled Japan last week. Do I need to inform LVO about it? Or just wait for them to contact me if needs to have the Supplementary Form updated?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you everyone for congratulations :)

Given you +1 buddy. You will probably be the first to land on Canadian soil this year.

Thank you CanOl :) No, I'm not the first one, there are several other FSW 2014 applicants who have got the visa and landed already (per the spreadsheet and per their posts on this forum).
Still, I'm trying to organize everything that depends on me as quickly as possible, and it's pretty funny to see how 5 columns from "RPRF request" to "Passport Sent" for my entry are all nicely filled with 9/23/2014 now :)

Thanks you for the great news :-)))))) +1 for you :D

jattjadanhar7 -

I don't vaccinate my children because I believe our immune system is more powerful without vaccines full of toxic heavy metals and other dangerous ingredients.

Not trying to start a vaccine debate here, but just WOW.

Also read this thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/immunization-form-vvimportant-t61790.135.html

Don't expect to have an easy ride with anything immigration-related with children without vaccines. Staying in the US would probably be better for you.

about 5 weeks or so..

Thanks. Their procedures urge them to follow up in 30 business days which equals 6 weeks. Good for you and grab a +1 for sharing your timeline.

Hi shushey, thanks for sharing your experience. +1 for you.

But I have a question. How did you send new documents to CIC after submitting your application? Did you write your information on the envelop to make sure they would identify your package right away? Or did you send only a cover letter? I am asking you that, because I am not sure if they even open the package when they receive it or if they wait until reach the date considering that all packages are new applications.

How exactly did you pack and identify your new documents?

Thanks for the help!

I sent it addressed to the CIO correspondence...I did not put any additional info on the envelop but I did attached a cover letter explaining my details. I also sent them an email.
