I don't think it will affect your processing by much - may be maximum 1 week for the administrative work at VO.

My suggestion, inform you VO about new passport and change of surname of your wife. The will let you know what to do. It is better to do it before passport request.

Today I had an appointment for PCC in Vadodara.
They said your passport must contain your spouse name otherwise we can't give PCC.
Now I have to re issue my passport to add my wife name in passport and also same will apply for my wife she'll also need to add my name in her passport.
If I apply for new passport, Will it affect my file? Does Passport number gets changed?
What should I do? Also, Surname of my wife will get changed in passport(It is PATEL as of now and will change to AMIN).
Anyone can give their thoughts on this?

A 6th June applicant "Gurusi" has claimed CC charge in SS. It looks like a typo as he/she has claimed to send application from Quebec, Canada on 2nd June through FedEX. How come application took 4 days to deliver next door.

Advice Please!!

I have submitted my file along with PCC. Ihave obtained my PCC from Jhajjar, Haryana. They have their own format of PCC. Which is bit different than what we have on Passport Seva website and does not include Passport Number on certificate. I am not sure if its okay or its not valid?

India don't issue any NID to its nationals.

Although I don't think there's any harm putting in Aadhaar card as the national ID. In any case it is an optional field, safer way is to keep it blank.

I have put my wife's aadhaar card under her info, but for mine i've kept it blank (since I don't have one).

CIC asks for a PCC for an individual not for a married individual. Try getting a PCC without stating about your marital status. For your wife; let her get a PCC which states her as a D/O instead of W/O. PCC is a document stating that you are not a criminal it doesn't have to state that you are not a married criminal.
