Dear Members,

A couple of days ago I received an email from CIO as follows:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

UCI: xxxxxxxx

Please be advised that your application was returned with all attachments on 17 July 2014. It was deemed incomplete. A letter of explanation was provided along with the application package.

We do not keep detailed records of each application returned so I am unable to provide more case specific details.

Please note: all returned applications are sent via regular mail to the mailing address as entered on the application package. There is no tracking number. Once the application is mailed, its delivery is the responsibility of the postal service. Applications are not sent via courier.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

In fact I was really surprised with this return. I'm sure everything was OK with my Application file.
- All the forms properly filled and signed.
- The original of IELTS included.
- The original of Educational Credential Assessment Report (Issued by University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies)
- The original of the bank statement
- All other legal documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, PCC) were officially translated, notarized, and legalized at the foreign affairs ministry.
- All work references were properly prepared and signed by the company responsible. Some employment contracts were included as additional supporting documents.
- The other documents (proof of relationship, etc.) were properly prepared and sent.
- Payment method was by CC (valid one).
- Photos were recently taken and properly signed as per the guidelines.

My file was received on May 12, and they say they have sent it back on July 17. The problem is I did not receive my file yet. I asked our postal service and they sad nothing has arrived on behalf of my name till now. I would like to reapply as I believe I'm on time to apply for NOC 2131 (This based on the spreadsheet estimation). The main issue preventing me from applying is the IELTS certificate. I don't know how to get a second copy of this document. Can anybody help me with this??
Your suggestions are more than welcome....

Congratulations! (For the MR....without notarization!) :D

Hi everyone!
I've just received an RPRF payment request! :) And at the same time my ECAS status has finally updated from "2. Medical results have been received" to
"2. We started processing your application on September 19, 2014. 3. Medical results have been received".

Interestingly enough, they've really sent a medical request 16 days before they've started processing my application.

In today's email they haven't requested anything else except RPRF.

I have been following the SS , but lately i don;t see much of updates on the SS on the no of people applied.

Hoping to be in the 1000 CAP....

[Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies!! ]

Current CAP is 343.

You seem to have a fair chance. Good Luck!

You need to send;

1. Original ECA report.
2. Copy of Original Certificate & Transcript (Notarized)

In my case I got PER, so i think this works.

Here's what I did:

For to-be-translated documents (such as PCC, a reference letter from my former employer, graduation certificates, national identification cards (both mine and my spouses and a document to prove my relationship to my brother), I got in touch with a guy in my country who is a member of Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario. He said that as a member of ATIO in order him to translate my documents, he needed me to take certified copies of original documents from Consulate General of Canada in Istanbul (where I live). Only then his translation would be valid for Government of Canada. Of course, that was the road I took; that doesn't mean everybody has to find an ATIO member.

What I understand from the guide 7000 is; if you are going to send a translated document, either you can send the original or a certified copy along with the translation and an affidavit of the translator. Since document checklist says "copies, unless otherwise stated" for credentials, people tend to send copies of course. That's why the copies of your documents that are in your native language need to be certified or noterized.

My university could give transcripts in english, so I sent originals. All the other in-english documents in my application are simple copies, or simply originals.

I got PER and AOR just fine. And that was my story...

Hope this helps to light bulbs

Thanks Century for confirming :)

You can count me in the non-notarization group though some of my documents were already was notarized but majority were not like BC, employment documents, POF, etc etc.

Sorry to hear this. The email says "It was deemed incomplete". My guess is, that is if you are sure that you have not missed any documents, that you take a closer look at your Letter Of Reference and the corresponding NOC duties.

Although the email says "It was deemed incomplete", sometimes they are just a template that CIC uses and the actual returned package may indicate the 'real' cause of rejection.

Also - did you include a copy of your degree certificate(s) as mentioned in your ECA report ?

I got it done through my local commissioner office in haryana in a week flat .. :) let me know if you want to know the procedure ..

Congo!!!!.... well said.... those dates are interesting...

May be they are indicating visa processing has been started;) ;)

Congratulation for the new update.
