You are wrong brother. Where in the guide it is mentioned to notarize all the copies of documents ? It is only mentioned to send notarized copy if your documents are not in English or French.

Yo ,,,,bro I agree on this part...but I have sent all my photocopies notarized which shows validation of my photocopies as per originals...and I got PER...Well agree on your side that it is not mentioned exactly that you need to notarized all....

photocopies of documents in ENGLISH/FRENCH need not be notorised.If you have more money ,go and get these notorised.

No only extra money he needs to be extra careful for his originals taking to notary public for attestation and leave some there......lol......
When they have already got official transcripts they why would they ask for attested.....

I am myself a Citi card holder and had a similar conversation with them, 2 different agents over that past 4 days, who corroborated the same thing as mentioned by you. Again, I also received the OTP mail yesterday. In a nutshell, what the customer care said is that since I have provided a signed authorization to CIC to charge my card, the OTP process does not apply to the transaction done by CIC. Also, I already have a chip card.

Hi Vivek

In my understanding Credit Card Transaction Regulations (as also other mode of transactions) are governed by a Centralized body, like RBI in India.

The Customer Care officer in ICICI bank who referred to trust-lists may have used it as a term to convey the message across to you that they need the Merchant 'Pre-approved' for such transactions.

Am just putting views here. End of the day you just need the transaction to go through. Its the Bank's responsibility to let you know what is 'required' for it to take place.

I agree that this "trust list" or "normalized" list is NOT a RBI defined term and might have been used by the custoemr care officer to drive home the point. The message that I wanted to convey is that CIC needs to be in Bank's "pre-approved" list. Now think about it - the "pre-aproved" is basically same as the "trust" in this context.

I need PCC from India...currently 'm in Pune, however in the PSK webiste "India" is not an option in the select list..wierd!! How can I apply it using PSK website. Any pointers, please?

Vande matram - what exactly is your Query.
We do need to provide CIC the copies of our degrees and marksheets, with translation in English if applicable. However, attesting it with the notary is purely optional and not mandatory at all.

Go to the Doc. checklist pdf.....it's written, "WES and degree copy necessary". Marksheet "if available

You can count me in the non-notarization group though some of my documents were already was notarized but majority were not like BC, employment documents, POF, etc etc.

Regarding submitting of marksheet debate which is going on, on CIC website it is mentioned -

" Submit the original ECA report with your application to the CIO along with proof of your completed foreign educational credential(s) (e.g. copies of your diplomas/degrees, transcripts, etc). "

I have applied under the NOC 2173 and my application is expected to be there at CIC canada by 24th Septemeber.
DO you think i have any chance of being in the 1000 cap.
I have been following the SS , but lately i don;t see much of updates on the SS on the no of people applied.

Hoping to be in the 1000 CAP....

I only notarized my birth certificate translation and copy of original, all other documents was in English and not notarized, not only got PER but received MR also.....

Please check the details/updates of your local PSK. If it states that they treat PCC as walk-in applicants(No appointment required), just fill the form online, take a print and go to PSK anytime before 11 in the morning. They will take the payment and probably issue PCC on the same day.

Dear srbhrn, sorry to say but didn't like the idea of u calling us as "confused ppl" , I was one of them who was not aware that all copies need not to be notarized. Neither I have spare time not have extra money, its just while sending application we make best effort (atleast when not hiring a consultant).

We all are here as we need help and want to help!

Please make it easier for all new members to focus on relevant stuff.. no copy needs to be notarized unless they are translations.. everyone spreading news that all photocopies need to be notarized have either spare time or money .. kindly put it to rest ..
