There are many responses over this in last few pages.. I dont think this is TRUE.. You do not need notarized copies of Marksheet & Degree..

Someone else with PER can also confirm ..
You need to send;

1. Original ECA report.
2. Copy of Original Certificate & Transcript (Notarized)

In my case I got PER, so i think this works.

There is a new terminology going around by the name of "Trust Lists".

This is in relation to the Credit Card applicants and their payment authorization and/or pre-approval for CIC against their respective Card issuing Banks.

I am a CC applicant as well. I would like to copy the response received from the Customer Care dept. following a Service request raised via the online banking portal for CITIBANK:

Dear Mr. XXX, We refer to your query dated September 19, 2014. We wish to inform that we do not find any recent transaction of 550 CAD at M/s.Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada approved in your card account. However, the mentioned transaction will be approved in your card account, if the card is in active status and there is available credit limit in your card account at the time of the transaction. As on date your card has an available credit limit of Rs. xxx,xxx.00. Further, your card ending XXXX can be used for international transactions with the available credit limit in your card account. The credit limit is the same for International and domestic transactions. For any further clarification, please write to us. We will be glad to assist you. Assuring you of our best services at all times. Sincerely, ABCD, Manager - Customer Care. P.S. For any further assistance, please feel free to contact our 24x7 CitiPhone banking division at the following numbers: Mumbai: 022 2823 2265, Gurgaon: 0124 254 2265, Chennai: 044 2852 2484, Bangalore: 080 2227 2265, Kolkata: 033 2283 2484 Please visit the following link to know all our CitiPhone numbers: https://www.online.citibank.co.in/customerservice/citiphone.htm

By no means am i trying to imply that my case is 'universal' and that it would apply to every other individual. BUT - I have never come across "Trust Lists" in the past and would appreciate if someone could point to the source (of the Banking portal, maybe) where such a terminology is clearly explained. Again, this could very well be a case with one bank and not the other, so not negating that probability.

Also, I cannot reaffirm to what the Bank has 'advised' at the moment until the transaction actually happens. Until then, I can only trust that they know what they are talking about.

I have also received the OTP Email from CITIBANK as have many other applicants. I would like to point out that CIC is not affected by this change as they never have been affected by OTP enabled CHIP Cards in the past where they have carried out successful transactions.
I think I used this "trust list" term. Unfortunately, I do not have any pointer for this on website ( mine was ICICI bank CC) of the bank. I discovered this "trust list" stuff while talking to Customer care of ICICI Bank after CIC's first attempt was declined. The Customer care officer told me that everything was fine except for the fact that this particular merchant was not in the "trust list". They also use the term "normalizing" for the particular merchant (CIC in this case). This process and terminology may be very unique/specific to ICICI Bank Credit Card department. In my previous post I have mentioned the 3 points that CC applicant should take care of. Please do refer. By no means however, these 3 points are exhaustive.

Hi everyone, my application package was received by Mike on August 27th. I am a bit worried because my birth certificate from the National Statistics Office was blurry or unclear. Although I attached a clearer photocopy of my birth certificate which I obtained from the Local Civil Registry, I can't help not to feel worried. Anyone here has the same situation as I have? I'm from the Philippines, btw.

As per my understanding plain photocopy of any credential needs to be validated. This can be done through notarization. When we are sending all other documents as notarized to CIC why not education credentials until or unless they are attested by the universities. But they has to be attested either by notary or by university alongwith original WES report
Buddy

Thats your wrong understanding of CIO requirements.

No document need to be notarized, unless its not in English /French.

Okay thanks i will look into that. But what about my NID as i can not get ti fixed now. should i provide the current ones copy and attach an explanation or something?
I beg to differ here from other forumites who advised to ignore...if the country issues 'NID', it is a must to declare. Since in your case, it requires correction, I would strongly suggest to wait for the fix. 4 weeks will not close out 2172...all the best!

That is what the trend of CIC caps shows. It is impossible to have 700 and 500 PERs in the last two weeks...and I am extrapolating to CC/DD with a additinal time lead of 10 days..(based on our SS share of PER atleast!) All the best!
why not consider that the PER is not just an email to be sent to the applicants, it is a decision to be made first, then email being sent.

so they may take the decision of giving specific applicants positive eligibility and add them to the CAP, then start send them emails

Thanks for sharing this, Nishesh.

I am myself a Citi card holder and had a similar conversation with them, 2 different agents over that past 4 days, who corroborated the same thing as mentioned by you. Again, I also received the OTP mail yesterday. In a nutshell, what the customer care said is that since I have provided a signed authorization to CIC to charge my card, the OTP process does not apply to the transaction done by CIC. Also, I already have a chip card.

+1!
