Dear All,

I am 12th June Applicant. My initial application was complete with all respect. Experience letter attached with the application fullfill all check list requirement. (so these is a good chance it will pass through the intial screening)

However, i felt to more eleborate my job descriptions. So i got new experience letters with detailed JD. i sent those additional document and those were received on Sep 19 by CIC. Is this ok. will they consider these new documents for PER.

Hi Friend, I did the same thing... after sending application, I felt the JD required more detailed description. After requesting my old company, they sent me revised letter which I sent to CIC through courier along with a covering letter explaining why anther letter is being sent and also requesting them to add it to my other application. Alternatively I have sent an email to CIC (you can look for it on their website), with copied of the letter.

When sending email and new Job Ref letter, please make sure to give them details of your passport, contact number, address, DOB and first application received details.

Good luck :)

Hi,

Could you guys please clear my doubts in the following questions:

- I am going to apply in the first week of October. I am not clear with if the reference letters (experience letter with job duties) should be dated September 2014 or according to the past date when I left that job
- My salary was under taxable slab after deductions of HRA & other allowances and other investment exemptions (like FD etc.). so my employer (in which category I am applying) never deducted TDS and did not give me form sixteen either. could you please guide what other salary proofs are acceptable and in what format?

It would be really a big help if I get guidance on the above points.

Many thanks in advance

i think it is highly unlikely that new papers will be added now as completeness check has already finished for 12th june apps, but if you are confident that initial papers would be accepted then chill out and wait

CIO cannot assess your roles for NOC 2281 against your claim. Without detail reference letter, you will get points for NOC 0013 only.

Thanks CanOl,

but how they calculate experience years in a different NOC other than the one applies for? will they do that even if this exp doesn't fall under the specific NOC under question?

I ask this because I have 9+ years of experience in the last 10 years divided as follows:

- 3 years in the NOC I applied for (0013) ---> I had a reference letter with work hours and detailed duties
- 6+ years falls under other NOC (I think 2281) ---> I only have a very generic reference letters without mentioning the job duties at all (just the position and no. of years).

Questions:
- Will they give points for the 6+ years of experience?
- How many points should I get in this case for work exp?

Regards,
Ahmed

Yes check out at CIC website and since you are here in canada , see if you could take CELPIP instead. It is much easier and you could get higher points but check it out first.

No need to write the "title of the document". CIC people are well trained towards this.

Do prepare a good cover letter though. This can summarise the important points of your application, any affidavits, any clarifications, etc.

Thanks for re-enforcing my belief in the cover letters. I will review them again in terms of clarity of thought and improve upon them if required. :)

Yeah, and I've avoided adding the title of the document, except in one case (brother's birth cert) since it doesn't have his name and might be a bit confusing. Appreciate your input!

Hi All who got MR...

The Medical form (IMM1017) sent for MR also need photograph to be pasted on it. Also it is mentioned that we need to go with 4 photographs to the doctor.

My question is does anyone know the photo specification for this.. Is it different or same (specification) as that of the 6 photographs sent with the application...

Please confirm asap.

Hello

Call the hospital you're going to take appointment from, and confirm with them whether hospital is "eMedical enabled". Mostly, it would be. Now, if it is eMedical enabled, you don't need to take 4 photographs with you nor have to paste it in form. They will take your photo when you go for Medical Exams.

Cheers
