Hi All,

Me and my wife's IELTS is scheduled for 22Nov. And I fit in category NOC 2173 (according to Job responsibilities, i.e. Testing), NOC 2171 (according to my designation, i.e. Software Quality Assurance Engineer) and NOC 2174 (according to the nature of work which involves computer programming, i.e. Test Automation). Seeing my profile and the cap (that is approaching fast) which NOC should I fill as my primary one.

I have heard that for primary NOC, the candidate must have at least one year of experience, although, he would get points for experience in other NOCs as well.

My questions:
1. Is it reasonable for me to take a chance for applying for Canadian PR this time?
2. Whatever I heard around primary and other NOCs, is it true?
3. Which NOC do you think is most appropriate for me seeing the work that I am doing and more importantly the capping.

Guyz, I know we have lot of experienced people here, who must have answered this question before as well. Request someone from you to come forward to suggest me. Will be highly appreciated.

2. Whatever I heard around primary and other NOCs, is it true? - true. You get points for all work experience as long as you have 1 year minimum experience in the applied NOC.
3. Which NOC do you think is most appropriate for me seeing the work that I am doing and more importantly the capping. - Can't comment much on your NOC as I am not from an IT background. But in terms of CAP, 2171 is the safest (least hottest) of the 3, so try to apply under this NOC if job duties match.

I got my PER on 8/28/2014. But did not received any email or letter from my VO (Ankara) up to now. Is it normal or not?

i agree.... at this rate, they will start covering more dates in each week... as the count of apps are falling down compared to May....

I do want this 6th June applicant to confirm that he is sure his application reached on 6th June....coz..
(1) one he/she says used DHL (so we have already seen some discrepancies with dates), with this courier service
(2) He used DD i mean... the trend we have seen is DD's are charged at least 2 or 3 days minimum later than CC.... so its a little hard to believe

even if the 6th June one is an erroneous entry ... 4th june entry confirms that CIC has charged 5 dates this week .. 29th, 30th, 2nd, 3rd, 4th..... thats good enough for now ... in about 10days, number of dates going by will be 2/day ... would be awesome for us to hear something by october and november respectively....

I completely agree... I think by tomorrow we would have more people coming in and editing their entries or making fresh ones with respect to CC Charge/PER/MR etc ... so we'll get a better picture then .... LEts wait and watch ...

you score 53 points overall other than IELTS. So you need 14 points in IELTS.

Minimum one can score in IELTS is 16 points...Hope you have no individual test score less than band 6 ? In that case you qualify easily. Considering IELTS band 7, I guess you must have scored at least 19-20 points in IELTS. Give the breakup and I can tell you exact points in IELTS.

Actually I did not get any indication that my file was transferred, nor was ECAS updated. I directly got the MR. I think you need to wait atleast for a month for file transfer after PER. How fast is Ankara? If it is slower, then you may need to wait. CPC-O and NDVO seem to be the fastest.

I think you should check the SpreadSheet for this. I am May 12th and 2174 and I got MR if that helps you.
