Hello Guys

I have requested for transcripts along with the WES academic records request form from my university, after receiving my transcripts i came to know that in WES academic records request form "the year of award" was mentioned as 2006 instead of 2005. What can i do now, can i change the year on my own and send the document to WES for assessment(i am worried it may be a problem) or do i need to contact my university again for changing the date.

Please advice

That form is only to make it easy for you to request your transcript from the university. So, as long as your university provides the transcript with the correct date it's not a big deal. You can simply ignore it.

hi,

Thanks for the same. My exam was conducted in a hotel. You mean to say i need to approach the IDP Centre. Will they handover a duplicate copy to me by hand?

Thank you very much for your time and effort.

I did my IELTS in the US. To get an additional TRF, I simply filled out the online form, mailed them a money order, put the mailing address as my own and told them I want it for Canada Immigration, and got it mailed to me. You should try to contact the same organization you took the exam with, and tell them you want to apply for Canada Immigration.

hi dear forumites.... I want to apply under NOC 2172. In my job, should I be doing main duties specified under both Database analysts and Data administrator? Or performing main duties from one the of these two would suffice? Please help.

Thanks for sharing ur life experience with us. I was also in Australia for a yr. Unfortunately returned due to family hazard. It was, is & will always be a dream country for me. So, I've tried my best to migrate there anyhow. After having roller coaster effort I got know that migration to AUS is like a journey to another planet. Cause at each & every step they have tightened their process which was relatively relaxed about 4-5 yrs ago. Its certainly easier if you stay in AUS & get their degree. Finding no other guaranteed way, applied for Canada. Because its process is less expensive (no worries if rejected) as well as balanced points requirement than AUS.

Thanks for sharing. I also just submitted my federal application as a provincial nominee. Prior to dabbling into Canada, I considered Australia, in fact Australia appeared to be the better destination for me (professionally). I have lived in US now for 15 years, did both my undergrad, and post grad studies in the US and been working in Mining Industry for 7+ years now. Australia is top 4 world wide in terms opportunities and market for Mining Engineers and Managers . I had an EOI that just recently expired....The only reason I pursued Canada over Australia was because the route was much less expensive and by a mile. The educational and experience verification by Engineers Australia was going to cost $600. Now compare that to $0 for Canada - As a provincial nominee via the NS RLMD stream, WES was not even required. The province did their own investigation per my education and work experience. I got nominated. No application fee either via the Nova Scotia RLMD stream. This is why I'm headed to Canada. There are other benefits of Canada that are secondary - Haven lived in the US for 15 years, I have so many great friends here that I can see rather easily due to the benefit of proximity etc. My transition to Canada from the US will also be easier and less expensive. I can literarily drive across the border in my Uhaul.

If the NS RLMD fell through, I was going to pay the $600 Engineers Australia assessment, get my credentials assessed and submit my EOI for Australia. Getting a job in the Mining Industry in Australia will be much easier for me than in NS. On the positive, I think NS affords me the chance for a potential fresh start from a career standpoint since it appears to have worked out. So i'm happy.

Bottom line is for me and others if for some reason Canada doesn't work out at the cic , I agree that Aussie land is very good alternative.

Your file will be transferred to Visa issuing department along with your COPR. It can take from 2 weeks to 3 months to get PPR. Best Wishes
