I have similar view on the PR cost for Aus. As some of my friends have been through Aus immi over a period of time, I had the chance to track the costs and it definitely looks like the cost has spiralled up significantly.

Nevertheless, the process that Aus immi follows is pretty smooth and efficient - good for people's health as it is very predictable and doesnt increase your blood pressure

...... I guess now they have increased the visa charges as well. Immigration is more of an industry earning revenue for them rather than being genuinely opportunistic to immigrants.

Yeh, you are absolutely right - now it depends on the discretion of CIO. Good thing is that never heard any rejection due to wrong CVV or omission of it.

The fact is that fee can still be charged without CVV number. It just needs CC number and expiry date. The question is whether CIC will allow this and go ahead and charge it or not... as far as my knowledge goes....no one has reported it yet...

However i would like the bankers in this forum to confirm this.... viz.. @ CanOl ?

Following this forum, I have seen people who have forgotten to write names in native language but still got PER.
So I am hopeful, it is not a major issue.

Few of my exp ceetificates dont have work hrs per week and salaray per year
Some have salary mentioned but as salary/month

What shud be the patteren am really confused.
As my old exprience cert. cant b correctd..

Hi frnds... there are about 15 members waiting with only ECAS Status updation. Ie..we have started processing of your application on xx xx xxxx. Please tell me any of these getting background check or request from vo for additional docments. Some ppl in this waiting more than a month for medical request. What is the reason for delay. Experts pls comment on this and members included in this ststus update their experience.

This tells me that we probably should expect similar increases for Canada as well once the express entry kicks in.

Fewer applicants invited = increased fees (just what happened in Australia)

u have to send reference letter..u can ask for those from your employers on a letter head, stamped and signed.

It would be of great help if you can share your experience in general about Canada, work culture, cost of living, climate, etc. I have read stuff in lot of websites, but nothing like hearing from a person who has been living there in his own words.

Please do write few sentences for the good of forum members, when you get time. Particularly about Alberta (I could see your flag and assuming that you are living there). It would be of immense help for us.

Yes I will definitely throw in a few sentences summarazing my experience so far in the evening. BTW, the flag is Ontario's, and it used to be the de facto National flag of Canada, before they came up with the idea of Maple leaf.

Once you got the PER, don't worry on this. If anything require, your VO will ask for it. You can then respond accordingly.

Wrong, you have to submit educational background documents of your spouse as well

Where on earth you saw that spouse's educational background documents have to be submitted. Did you follow the checklist?

How can we verify if DD is encased or not , for HDFC bank in particular.

I know, I can go to the branch and ask..but if sm1 has already done it .

Then I can save some time and petrol by not going to the branch 8) 8)

The reference letter need to contain a list of specified information(which is clearly documented on the document checklist form in the application package). People who were unable to include some of the information like salary for example have included salary slips, appraisal letters, etc. to substantiate this element. But all the elements like work hours(or atleast full time mentioned), roles and responsibilities, etc are definitely required for the experience period you are claiming the points for.

LoL!! Two predominant complaints I get from my friends. Cost of Living and not very friendly environment.

I lived in both UK and US, never found that unfriendliness thing. Wonder how does Canada treat new entrants.

Wrong, you have to submit educational background documents of your spouse as well

nope this is not required. Unless you are claiming points for spouse's Canadian education. Please follow document check list and add all details of spouse and additional forms to be filled by spouse. Only mandatory supporting docs required are, BirthCertificate of spouse, civil identity documents and marriage certificate. If you are claiming points for Spouse adaptability then send his/her IELTS results. Plus PCC for spouse can be sent with initial package or later when requested by your local VO.

Its very clearly mentioned in CIC website, do not send them additional documents, which they have not requested for.
