I think 7th and 8th June was Saturday and Sunday... Then how come I see four applications received on that date in SS....

Does CIC receives apps on Sat and Sun also??....

Hi

FOA, i am really impressed by the DB that we hv got here. I just added myself to the spreadsheet tracker, and reading the column recd by and underneath that "David" left my eyes wide open. so congratulations on that. :)

now, please allow me to talk about my query. I sent my application to CIO NS on 30 June 14, recd by David :) there on 4th July. And now, its been 11 weeks and i haven't heard from CIO/CIC with AOR or anything. I have no idea when my application would be processed. I already have posted my query on email provided by CIC on their website, No Response. tried calling them on the number mentioned for outside canada, got a response that its not correct deptt. :(

could anyone please suggest me any poa on this. how should i chase them for AOR.

Thanks very much in advance.
Lucky

If you look at the spreadsheet carefully, you will notice that CIC is now charging June 2nd applicants (this is the first step). So it will be about a couple months before your application will even be opened by CIC. If you contacted CIC, they will respond in about a month, but there is no reason for you to contact them or get worried.

How much time one can expect for Passport request from NDVO after third line added in ECAS...

Cheers to that, but i really hope that cap doesn't get filled by then as 2174 is the fastest filling NOC as of now, and fortunately, I fall under that. :D

I don't know what the third line says. But passport request takes usually a few days to a few weeks after the VO receives your medicals and fees.

hi all!

my eca report says: Canadian equivalency - bachelor's degree (three years)

would you please advise if this is sufficient?

as per CIC website: The ECA report must indicate that your completed foreign educational credential is equivalent to a completed Canadian educational credential.

is it ok or the word completed must be there? kindly advise. thank you.

Guys, something on the consultants !!!!

We use a consultant to be doubly sure of our application, I agree. But too much dependence on a consultant is also not good. All consultants are not bad, BTW. There are a few good consultants as well. Also it is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that his application is correctly filled. Definitely can't leave it to the consultant. A consultant has nothing to lose except a client and maybe 2-3 more due to negative word of mouth publicity by the applicant who has suffered. But the applicant suffers irrepairable damage at times.

As an applicant, we need to ensure that we know more than what the consultant knows. Pls refer to CIC website..Saying this again and again. We on this forum can also provide help, but self help is the best help and will also help improve knowledge on the subject. After going through the site thoroughly, I would suggest fill the forms without asking the consultants or on this forum. Then take a second opinion from your consultant and a third one from this forum. That's what consultants and this forum is for.

Don't expect consultant to spoon feed you. By doing this, you will risk your own careers and if something goes wrong, you will blame the consultant. Always know more than the consultant so that whenever you feel he is doing something wrong, you can whack his a$$ and ensure right course of action at all times.

Having said this, the consultant may still goof up, (like my consultant gave me wrong courier docket no for Halifax for DAL univ instead of CIO Sydney), but then you can take his case and not get fooled by him, provided you have the requisite knowledge. Treat them the way they are...If they are very knowledgeable, give them the due respect and if they are less knowledgeable, treat them like a learning kid, whacking them when necessary and praising them if they suggest something good. No point in blaming them. You may get them blacklisted, (that needs to be done anyways for bad consultants) but it does not solve your problem, right?

So always ensure to take full responsibility for your applications, with or without a consultant. Its your career at stake, not theirs.

Very Very well said. Cant emphasize more on our role in the application even after hiring experts. Like you pointed, its just another customer for them. But, for us it could be a life changing event. It all comes down to how much value we put on this opportunity. We can always sit back and blame every one in the world that they didnt do their job, but the lost opportunity will not come back.

So guys, please be careful, put all your effort and leave the rest to Destiny.

@ Canol, couldnt give you +1, but your effort was worth +10 :)

Please tell me the points for language. I am confused

Listening: 6.5

Also please tell me about my educational credential with WES mention 4 Year Degree, kindly let me know how many points i will get.

Thanks,
Hardik

Why NDVO ppl are making us to wait for MR. All recent applicants got MR. But few are waiting only with ecas status update as we started processing of your application on xx xx xxxx. Once the ecas 2 nd line added, what does it mean. Possitive eligibility review in visa office or there is any other reason?? Is there any partiality with some NOC.
