+1(karma action) for supporting and helping nature

Hello Friend,
I want to know, how much i can score in IELTS as if any one know as how CIC or NDVO calculate IELTS.
They Calculate total score based on the lowest Band in any of the sessions like i score

W-6, R-7.5, L-7.5, S-8. so should I get 16 points as in writing i got 6 band

or for each session they compare clb level seperately so on that basis should i get

w-6 CLB Level 7 points - 4
R-7.5 CLB Level 9 points - 6
L-7.5 CLB Level 8 points - 5
S-8 CLB Level 9 points - 6

so total points if we calculate individually then it becomes - 21.... so i will get 16 points for Language or 21 points. this will make a greate difference

please help me all members who got their points in Evaluation like this.

You should use individual scores, that is 21.

Guys, something on the consultants !!!!

We use a consultant to be doubly sure of our application, I agree. But too much dependence on a consultant is also not good. All consultants are not bad, BTW. There are a few good consultants as well. Also it is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that his application is correctly filled. Definitely can't leave it to the consultant. A consultant has nothing to lose except a client and maybe 2-3 more due to negative word of mouth publicity by the applicant who has suffered. But the applicant suffers irrepairable damage at times.

As an applicant, we need to ensure that we know more than what the consultant knows. Pls refer to CIC website..Saying this again and again. We on this forum can also provide help, but self help is the best help and will also help improve knowledge on the subject. After going through the site thoroughly, I would suggest fill the forms without asking the consultants or on this forum. Then take a second opinion from your consultant and a third one from this forum. That's what consultants and this forum is for.

Don't expect consultant to spoon feed you. By doing this, you will risk your own careers and if something goes wrong, you will blame the consultant. Always know more than the consultant so that whenever you feel he is doing something wrong, you can whack his a$$ and ensure right course of action at all times.

Having said this, the consultant may still goof up, (like my consultant gave me wrong courier docket no for Halifax for DAL univ instead of CIO Sydney), but then you can take his case and not get fooled by him, provided you have the requisite knowledge. Treat them the way they are...If they are very knowledgeable, give them the due respect and if they are less knowledgeable, treat them like a learning kid, whacking them when necessary and praising them if they suggest something good. No point in blaming them. You may get them blacklisted, (that needs to be done anyways for bad consultants) but it does not solve your problem, right?

So always ensure to take full responsibility for your applications, with or without a consultant. Its your career at stake, not theirs.

I agree with CanOI. That's the best approach. Don't be a fool and let someone dictate to you. You should always stay in control.

Thanks for your prayers ! No, I'm not on the SS, and I'm intentionally not on it. At the moment, I fail to see the point of entering my info in the spreadsheet as the status my application (application received at CIO) has no information of relevance to any other forum members. I cant even find out if my payment has been charged (I paid by demand draft, so there's no way I can find out if my payment has been charged).

I'll update the SS as soon as I get my payment charged or get a PER.

Randev,

Every application entered in the SS is important as it gives rough estimate on CAPS, date of charge, etc. So request you to pls update SS.

Dear friends,

two concerns about the proof of funds

1. Should I send the original letters issued from the bank or copies will suffice?
2. My wife also have a bank account in her name and her dad's home address. Can I use the statement from that as well?

1. Copies will suffice.
2. If wife is accompanying, then her account or "your and her" joint account will do.

Thanks, for the information Vind can we get any format or if you have or any Member has the format for Reference letter from the Manager on a plain paper instead of on the Company's Letter Head. It will be Thank Full.

Hartej

No matter reference letter is on letter head or on a plain paper the content will remain the same. What it should cover has already explained or you can check the cic document checklist. It clearly states what should a reference letter describe.

Tried calling the CIC no. - 0016139444000 to know the status of my application received on 20th May. But after a long wait they asked me to contact the Nova Scotia office. Is someone aware of the contact no.? Appreciate any help.

FINALLY CIC STARTED CHARGING JUNE APPLICANTS...... :D :D

Hi

FOA, i am really impressed by the DB that we hv got here. I just added myself to the spreadsheet tracker, and reading the column recd by and underneath that "David" left my eyes wide open. so congratulations on that. :)

now, please allow me to talk about my query. I sent my application to CIO NS on 30 June 14, recd by David :) there on 4th July. And now, its been 11 weeks and i haven't heard from CIO/CIC with AOR or anything. I have no idea when my application would be processed. I already have posted my query on email provided by CIC on their website, No Response. tried calling them on the number mentioned for outside canada, got a response that its not correct deptt. :(

could anyone please suggest me any poa on this. how should i chase them for AOR.

Thanks very much in advance.
Lucky
