The mandate clearly states provide PCC for all the countries in which you have stayed for more than 6 months in the last 10 years . My guess is you should be fine.

The other alternative is if you get medicals, then you will know if they will ask you. But, I dont think you need to even mention this information as it states that all the information you provide is from the last 10 years, including your work experience.

Hope I was able to give you a satisfactory answer.

Optimist,

It is not last 10 years but since 18 years of age.

You can check on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/intro.asp

extract produced here.

Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18.

The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator.

so I am also 99.99% sure that it is 21

Check the link provided in my earlier post. That's the ultimate guide from CIC and trumps all of ours opinions. It's 22 points based on that.

Welcome to the forum... under which NOC you are planning to apply?

Hi Nadim,

I am super confused with this. I am Software QA Engg, working on Test Automation and manual testing, so all of 2174, 2173, 2171 apply to my case. My Job titles (current and past) mostly match with those of NOC 2171 but I am into coding and Test Automation so my roles and responsibilities match with those of 2173 ideally. I've got the IELTS date for me and my wife for 22nd Nov. Also, the cap is reaching fast, so don't know which primary NOC should I actually target. Any suggestions will definitely be appreciated.

Plz bear with me, I might ask few basic questions from you all while I read through most of your posts.

Dude sorry to say, but you came here a little too late. You don't have much option. 2173 and 2174 will already be capped by then. 2171 is not far behind and might get filled by the time you are ready. But work on your application ASAP and apply ASAP.
