For 22 points, you need at least one 3 years or longer post-secondary credential in combination with another post-secondary credential (this is exactly how it's worded on the left of the sheet and also the guideline). There is no year limit on the second credential. As long as it's considered a post-secondary credential, it's good. Andy's diploma is considered a 2-year post-secondary credential and additionally he has a 3+ years Bachelor's degree. So combined, it will be 22 points.

That is incorrect line of thought - the sooner you come out of it, the better it is for YOU.

What you are implying is it is okay to HIDE information or not provide honest information upfront. Do you think that is correct? :-X I do NOT recommend that!!!

I completely Agree with Oscar on this.....No need to wait for PER to initiate PCC. I've been saying this all the while. And PCC is required for all countries (other than Canada) where stay has been > 6 months since the age of 18 Years. Have posted CIC link to this some posts back.

Alhamdulillah. Finally i have received my PER email at 7.46 PM local time in Bangladesh. Thanks to Allah that he finally helped me to pass through the initial hurdle. Previously i also applied in 2013, due to my mistake they returned my file that time. Alhamdulillah this time I have made it.

My file reaches @ CIC on 26th May. DD encashed on 9th Sep. PER received on 27th Sep. ECAS is also updated.

Hi Nadim,

I am super confused with this. I am Software QA Engg, working on Test Automation and manual testing, so all of 2174, 2173, 2171 apply to my case. My Job titles (current and past) mostly match with those of NOC 2171 but I am into coding and Test Automation so my roles and responsibilities match with those of 2173 ideally. I've got the IELTS date for me and my wife for 22nd Nov. Also, the cap is reaching fast, so don't know which primary NOC should I actually target. Any suggestions will definitely be appreciated.

Plz bear with me, I might ask few basic questions from you all while I read through most of your posts.

There is no harm in applying.. 2171 lags behind 2173.. Apply in that.. Try to get WES ECA report soon as it is a long process in itself.
If you can get IELTS date sooner is some other city please do that .. you may still squeeze in your application (NOC 2171) within October if you manage IELTS date by October 15..Go all out to avail the best possible chance you have got in your life to have Canadian life ..

I am not even sure what you are arguing right now. I have already given you CIC's guidelines as to the exact requirement for 22 points which again is:

"Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials is for the completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer"

Andy has Bachelor's degree (more than 3 years post-secondary credential) + 2 year post-secondary credential = 22 points.

Anyways, Andy got the point already. So there is no need for us to keep going at it.
