My DD was issued last month
And it has no validation date
But the bank said it is valid for one year
But you are saying if not signed so it is valid for six month

People, who are reporting for returned application are just disrupting flow of thinking regarding processing of application at CIC.
I think it is a deliberate attempt.

no one is getting ruffled Tyler. Its information. and if someone's application is getting rejected, they might feel dejected and want to share with the group. We need to be compassionate towards them.

I have expressly asked them if it is 6 months valid and they have confirmed it is so. They have stamped it on their own. Dont know if this is a latest development as I still find guys not clear about DD validity. Or perhaps some banks are not stamping any validity date.

But, the recent passed regulation by RBI states validity of DDs is 3 months. But, RBI will not have jurisdiction on international DDs. It will come under international banking laws.

Just wanted to know because the Cheque book issued from ICICI have the tag 'valid for 3 months' just above the date of the cheque which is found at the top right corner of cheque...

this isn't a cheque dear. this is a Draft !!!! Why are you looking at the cheque book ?

International Draft validity by default is 6 months.

Thanks For sharing +1 for u....the snap shows it's a stamp which can be used by any branch for the information of the receiver and the issuer...some branches may not use it....
