That's the problem with Gujju names PP (Palak Patel)

Have been in Gujarat (Rajkot, Bharuch, Ahmedabad and Surat) for almost 3 years and have myself been fooled so many times. Difficult to know whether a person is a boy or girl BY NAME .

Sheetal, Jesal, Hemal, Hetal, Daya, PALAK, Toral, etc, etc.

I would also like to share that I have printed my forms in 8.5 x 11 size of bond paper and used the print to page printing option in printing the Generic Application form. I also included the IELTS result of my spouse that will expire 3 days after the delivery of our application.

Don't worry about article "The" and preposition "of". All are accepted and shall be honored - because it is government of Canada. There is no chance having 2 account Receiver General of/ for Canada.

However, if it were to any private company or individual, bank may not accept it.

So no worry.

All this talk about Demand Drafts, I wanted to check mine and I had a copy of it and it says "The Receiver General of Canada" instead of for

The confusion is about the same bank ie..ICICI . for me it was 3 months and for some other 6 months

My DD is also from ICICI Bank (Dated 22nd May)....it has Stamp: "VALID FOR NOT MORE THAN SIX MONTHS"

Rajneeshv, was it a printer typed thing, the validity for 6 months, or was it the old type stamp which is first punched on the half wet ink pad and then on the paper....??

Guys, just an update, got to know from my Dad, DD got encashed on 12th, I am a 23rd May 1112 applicant.

Now when can i expect the PER golden mail for me

DD is hand written. Validity is stamped and clearly visible, dont know about the ink on the ink pad.

i don't know what happened with the draft.......it was a draft from ICICI bank and BANK OF MONTREAL......i am totally confused

bank of Montreal will be the Correspondent Tie up Bank for ICICI Bank.
