Quick question seniors. Please advise.

I just got my assessment back and it says for one of my degrees: "Bachelor's Degree (Four Years)" and for my MBA it says "Post Bachelor's Diploma".

In the general application form, what option corresponds to this? Master's Degree? Post Graduate - No degree? Bachelor's Degree?

Also, how many points do I get for CIC?

22. Your both programs are 3 years or longer, with the degree being 4 years.

"Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials is for the completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer"

Hi All,

I am 29th May applicant and CC charged yesterday. I have updated spread sheet.

I have a query regarding proof of funds.

For proof of funds I have shown

1. FDs
2. My PF
3. Gold Valuation certificates (Original)

Now , Do local VISA office will ask again regarding proof of funds ?

I am asking this because FDs and My PF do is not sufficiant for 18000 CAD (2 dependants)
When I show Gold Valuation certifiacates then I was able to surpass 18000 CAD

So my question here is that do I need to liquidate my Gold into Cash before my file is transferred to local visa office ?

Which documents are required at Local Visa Office ?

Are you sure it's only '$' and not CAD of something else which is the problem...
I'm going to get an heart attack...last week i've asked as many as 50 people in bank and over phone banking about DD, i've also sent ICICI DD and nearly 50% said it's valid for 3 months as per RBI...but again many said the international DDs are valid for 6 months. also one forumite got DD charged after 3 months and was from ICICI....so really tensed and confused ...guys help those who have got DD from ICICI charged after 3 months...

Dude me in the same boat. Have send a ICICI DD .Appl sent 26th May...... On verg of getting a Heart Attack.... ???

Please advice shall i apply for PCC as I recevied the PER mail yesterday or wait for Medical mail from Local VO?

Also, how much time it will take for issuance of PCC and the process. My VO is New Delhi.

If your city of passport issuing office is the same as that of the passport office issuing PCC, you will get within 2-3 hrs. else around a month

While going across spread sheet and cic cap data i have observed an interesting thing:

ON Spreadsheet:

ON CIC cap updates:

The data shows that cic does indeed updates its cap on the basis of PER issued and not on the basis of receiving of docs. or completeness check or payment deduction..
As is the case of this cold dead noc 1224 the only guy getting PER by 3rd sep was updated on the cic website and we were lucky enough to have him registered on ss...

Thanks and +1 for this.... will send the same....now there is another worry seeing that DD is getting rejected ...is this for validity reason...Mine is also DD issued from HDFC but they said its of 6 months though it has no validity date.....thinking of sending the new payment as well.....

Additional fee is not required I know thind26 got his file rejected due to payment issue. But no one knows what was the exact issue may be possibly bank's mistake. You should be fine with payment.

I am even in worst situation i am June 18 applicant and have sent some missing documents which should be delivers today at cio but I don't know whether I will be able to make it or not whether cio has made decision on my file by now.

So can't do much ... just pray for each other and have faith in almighty God.

Easily! the cap currently is just only at 92 so far.. you have very good chance of being in first 500!

when i check my noc2172 cap at this link, it showed 40.. Now when i check back again it is 24? what is the reason.

Thind26, really sorry to hear this!... Can you tell us when did you get this DD made (exact date)? Because all other reasons are discounted based on your answers (550 CAD, Correct payee etc.)

Let me tell you something to ease your tension.

I am working in field in Canada where people have to remit cheque's/draft payable to Receiver General for Canada, but sometimes they are not aware of what name to write when they are addressing payment to Government of Canada so they use below names:

-- Receiver General for Canada
-- The Receiver General for Canada
-- Receiver General of Canada
-- The Receiver General of Canada
-- Receiver General
-- Government of Canada
-- Receiver General Canada
-- The Receiver General Canada

Every name above works. I have got PE with it. So I see no reason to panic.

I have a query to all members regarding overall cap.....
As the overall cap is only 25000 it means only 25 or less NOC's are going to make it to final thousand subcap
means if an NOC is having 20 or 30 completeness checks/ files as shown by the CIC......they are also at the risk of cap fill...
So no one can say that any NOC is very safe......we must hurry up

COLD NOCs are safe. thats because there are many NOCs having very less seats occupied, so much so, that they offset the HOT NOCs.
