Hi Saps,

Just before reading your quote I posted a query to Palak.

So is it true that CIO will by default take it as Full-time employment if nothing is mentioned?? Is there anybody who has got PER in such a scenario??

I wouldn't leave it to luck if I were you

CIC is clear about this, they need to know the number of hours to know if you are a full time or part time employee
a full time employee is 30+ hrs/ week employee so you need to mention that in your reference letter

Also, remember that CIC officers are just humans and their opinions can vary. If one officer thought from the reference letter format that it is implicitly assumed the applicant is full time employee then don't assume that every other officer will do the same

Hi Century,

In my case, I sent fresh fee payment form and it reached them after 8 days from the time they received my original application package. Below is the content of the cover letter I wrote to them:

"31-May-2014

To

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: 2171
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

Sir/Madam

Subject: Fee Payment for Federal Skilled Worker, NOC Category, Primary NOC 2011 Code: 2171 (UCI XXXXXXXX)

This is with reference to my Immigration application under the Federal Skilled Worker program, NOC Category, Primary NOC 2011 Code: 2171 dated 24-May-2014 vide UCI number XXXXXXXX. Along with my aforesaid Immigration application, I had included Fee Payment Form for payment of CAD 1,100 towards application for Permanent Residence. My credit card details that were furnished in the aforesaid Fee payment form have been compromised and hence, the issuing bank (i.e. Bank of America) has blocked my aforesaid credit card and issued a new credit card.

Hence, I am enclosing a fresh Fee Payment Form dated 31-May-2014 furnishing my new credit card details for payment of CAD 1,100 towards the fee for my Permanent Residence application under the Federal Skilled Worker program vide UCI number XXXXXXXX.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

2) Barcode pages of Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) dated 24-May-2014
"

I would recommend to include following info also in your letter:
Passport #, DoB, when & who received your original application package.

Also, once you have sent the application through mail, send a copy of the same through email as well giving them the postal tracking details and expected ETA of arrival to them. I posted the email sent and reply received from CIO in my earlier posts. Please search by robsmann and see the emails.

Please let me know if there is anything more that I can do to help.

Yes if they have matric certificate on which one of the parent name is common then it will be fine....It is better to write cover letter explaining that as well.

Hello guys. My mother's sister is settled in Canada for over 15 years now. I know that Birth Certificate of both is required for matching of parents names but they were both in the 50s and 70s, in those days BC were not available. So what documents can I attach to prove she's my aunt? Can I include their Matric or Intermediate certificates to prove common father with an explanation as to why BC are not provoded. Will I need to put the info on a stamp paper? Thanks in advance for replies.

Gues - so I guess CIC has proccessed applications recvd until May 26th. Is that correct? I applied mid-june so hopefully mine will be processed by next month or so. Can anyone let me know the next steps? do they first send you a notification that they started processing and then PER is sent? At what stage do they check the finances - need to know when can I use the financial resources for which I have submitted the evidences.

while sending file to the following e-mail ID it kept saying invalid e-mail.

CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca

please advise asap.

Thank you for your quick and positive response...

Actually one of my friends immigrated to Australia couple of years before (and his daughter had lazy eye) after a successful MR outcome. Not an issue at all. All the best!

No need to wait for DD encashment.... as DD are 100% cash convertible, they consider the day of presenting DD to bank as the fee charge date... before getting notification of DD enchashment you will received your PER email... i am 21th may applicant; according to my bank DD hasn't encashed yet, however i have already received my PER email on last friday....

Thank you Nepali for the info and Congratulations :)
