I did my UK insurance exams but could not credit them here, so I have a series of 10 exams to do here. Done 2, studying for two more and 6 next to do next year...very boring lol

What are the documents acceptable as Proof of Funds while landing in Canada.

I am planning to show following documents.
USA 401K Statement
USA Bank Statement
India NRE Account Bank Statement
India Bank Fixed Deposits

1. Do I need to carry original bank fixed deposit receipts OR having a scanned copy of them is enough? I am currently in USA so if I need to arrange for getting the original FD receipts from India then I will need some time to do that. So your guidance in this matter is highly appreciable.
2. Can I transfer money from my India NRE account to my USA Bank account? Which is the safest way to do this? Also will it attract any taxes in India or USA ?
3. Do we have to show these proof of funds while stamping the Canada Immigrant visa in USA or at the time of landing in Canada OR at both the places?

Thanks

At least you are living in the coolest city in Canada and you have a job and a roof over your head, I am jealous!!! lol

With the global economy going down in the dumps every 5-8 years not sure what lies ahead. And it this time particularly Canada's economic health isn't too good is what I read...will see how my destiny awaits me!!! ??? First that PR sh1t is needed, and then next things will be lined up...

Yup this PR crap eh

Another question

I am currently working in USA on L1A visa which is stamped till 2017. However my I-129S is already expired and I am staying here based on my I-94 which is valid till 2017. My Visa has "PED" mentioned as July 2014. So ideally if I leave USA then to reenter I need to have my visa stamped.

In the current scenario I may get landing papers in next 1-2 months. Having said that, can I land in Canada for completing the PR formalities and come back to USA on same visa ? I intend to complete my USA stay till March 2015 and then permanently move to Canada for good. So I was wondering if I need to extend my USA visa OR being travelling between USA & Canada, I can retain my I94 and using that I can reenter USA.

Your detail guidance in this matter is highly appreciable.

Thanks
