Hi Guys!!

Congrats to all the guys who received MR and RPRF. All the best to the guys who are waiting eagerly.

I have received my PER on 18th August(9th May applicant) and am looking forward for the MR/PCC mail. I have a query regarding PCC. I stay in Bangalore and I have already taken an appointment at the nearest PSK. But I got to know from one of the posts on this thread that in Bangalore PCC is only given for the period of stay of your current residence address. But would that be enough? In my case it would cover a period of 4-5 years. What about the remaining which would be around 30 years? I had taken an application from the Police Commissioner's office in which I was asked to mention very clearly the period for which I am seeking clearance and provide residence proof for the same. So am confused here.

Can the experienced guys help me out here? Thanks a lot in advance

Yes, ind_2173, that is indeed true.. I have got my PCC done from the Police Commissioner itself and they have entered the date from which i was residing in the address based on the identity proof i provided which was my current passport which was Dec 2012.

Its really stupid of them to give PCC in that format, but that's their policy. I have anyways submitted the same with my app and hoping this is sufficient and will be considered as a national PCC :-\

P.S., return back the favour, by entering your details to the spreadsheet. The entry link is below in my signature. Thanks and Good Luck.

Thanks gsw :). I've called them already, however:

1. As approvals and declining process is automated, not sure how manual intervention to read my request will help as Lady at HDFC Credit card division only told me that she had noted it down.

2. Does HDFC bank in India has some mechanism where they enter into their system, details for upcoming transaction so that it goes through?

3. Do I need to give them some reference for CIC, something which will tell their systems that this is CIC, Canada charging for immigration application for which I've requested them to approve?

4. Does CIC try to charge card second or third time if transaction is declined once?

Hi prishad, is your wife self-employed? If yes:
First, check if her job duties match 60% of the chosen NOC.
If Self Employed, get as many reference documents which proves her work, even if she gets cash as payments, there should be some documents maintained about her payments she received right? Like 3 years Income Tax returns, also can include CA certified Balance Sheets and PNL statement.
Self attested job duties in this case and get this notarised. include as you said, business card and website details etc.

You can refer CIC website for the steps of PR process and the timeline is dependent on the VO you apply for.

i hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hi ,

Thanks a lot for the reply .. Well yes the duties match to the NOC as Therapist is a example title in there .. And she was paid not much amount .. Round about 9000 rs monthly .. As psychologist get paid approximately the same amount at a Bachelors level .. And she wasnt self employed she worked and got trained under a Psychologist/ therapist .. Could you please elaborate whats LOV? I read quite a few people talking about LOV .. But not familiar with this term .. Thanks .

If she is not self-employed, then the letter should be provided by "Psychologist/ therapist" under whom she worked. The details this reference letter should contain is listed in the document checklist. Also add payslips, contract documents etc as optional supporting documents. It doesn't matter, how low or how high her wages were during her work experience, its important that the duties match (matching title is also optional) and its minimum 1 year full time employment in the chosen NOC and all other eligibility criteria + minimum 67 points as mentioned in the CIC website.

VO = Visa Office
LVO = London Visa Office
NDVO = New Delhi Visa Office

Just check ur card limit on net banking for international transactions and should be fine

Hi all,
Can you throw your predictions on the percentage of chances I have if application reaches CIC by 19th sep for NOC 2173
Just to set my mind for expecting what is realistic to hope for.
Thanks all

ok guys this might be pre-mature but asking anyway......currently I m waiting for mr, in the meanwhile I m making pcc and other stuff ready.

I was also thinking about travelling....a bit on economical side. checked on the internet and found out only PIA to be the direct flight to Toronto from Karachi and charging 240000 for 2 adults and 1 child.

one stop flights are emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Turkish...charging 310000, 270000, 340000 & 370000 respectively from Karachi to Toronto having stops in Dubai, abu dhabi, Doha & Istanbul.

there are other flights which are actually "fruit punch custard bowl"...u board one career, it stops on 3 to 4 places, career changed on each stop and finally u reach Toronto. typical example is like Karachi to Dubai by fly Dubai, Dubai to London by emirates, London to Chicago by klm and Chicago to Toronto by air Canada. it costs around 250000. but its an example, the careers can be different and charges can be up and down.

what should I do? I don't want to waste money on business and first class, I will only travel in economy. business or 1st class cost atleast 100000 more on avg. plus I don't want to get tired on long journey selection. like the fruit punch custard course will take anywhere from 22 to 44 hours of journey! man I will be deleted when I land at Toronto with a wife and kid!

what indian and bd members do? what route they select and which flights? how many stops and what are the charges? what if u don't select air india or biman?

also, there is one more thing, the online search service like on google or bing, they show some really cheap flights.....costing 240000 or below! but that option is fruit punch custard, there are 2 to 3 airlines involve and 3 to 4 stops and around 44hrs journey but saving are like 80000 on avg.

please suggest and advice. thanks.

Thanks Oscar Bhaiya...
I agree with your point

Hi, Not sure how important one can classify this change, it depends how one looks at the importance at.

But when something has come to notice ignoring it to save 2-3 days and then worrying over it for 2-3 months does not sound wise. Rather fixing the shortcoming and sending it with confidence is better. Also this way later one has less to blame the consultant for, if things are corrected upfront. Those guys at least identified / spotted the shortcoming in a timely manner!! :) Just my thoughts dear!! :)

PS - Wait for other folk's opinion on this - may be people can suggest this can be ignored!!!

Hi , thanks a lot for all this info ..
Well my wife already has a letter given by her employer and also other proof's .. So hopefully it should be fine .. Thanks heaps :) Just a last query please .. Could you please explain me ielts points how are they calculated .? My wife has L-6.5, R-6.5, W-7, S-7 so does that make 16 points .? 4 per ability

Guys need your inputs, HR in my company has said they dont issue reference letters but he did give me a employment confirmation letter with my joining date and designation. I've approached my manager and other seniors for the same but they couldn't do much. Is it okay to get an reference letter from an assistant manager in the company while my designation is also same.

I also have job experience as a store manager for an apparel store which has about 20 employees sales persons, Can I just submit reference letter from the manager of that store I dont have the pay slips.

Your inputs pls

It is a tough call, as estimates predict on the wire! But definitely you should put your application. And you will celebrate with god's blessings!

Best wishes!

dear its already 250 apps and they are on 24th may applicants..........so lets say that in 24 days they took 250 apps.....it concludes roughly that in next 72 days they will wind it up.....that's make it hmmmmmm maximum by 1st week applicants of august 2014.

now u can see where u r standing at September 19. ok its a very rough calculation and an estimate. things can go up and down. but then again u r in 2nd week of September......if things go slow then also whole august is left and 18 days of September.

from here right now......it seems impossible but yes things can go in your favor if u r lucky enough. lets wish u all the best and good luck.
