Hi All,
I would like to share an awesome news with awesome people here:

Payment mode: CC
NOC: 2171
Date application received: 28 May 2014
Date new CC details received by CIO (sent by me because old Credit card blocked by BofA): 5 June 2014
Payment charged: 12 September 2014 12:31pm Eastern Time
(Email received from BofA: "We're letting you know your credit card was used for a transaction without swiping it through a machine. This means the transaction was made online, by phone or mail, or at a physical location where the retailer keyed in your card number.

Here are the details of the credit card charge:
Amount: $1,006.30
Merchant: CITIZENSHIP IMM FSW
Transaction date: 09/12/2014

The amount shown above is what the merchant initially submitted. The final amount posted to your account may vary based on the final information received from the merchant.
You can sign in to Online or Mobile Banking to review your account activity. If you don't recognize this charge, please call us at 1.800.732.9194.")

Following is the description of transaction on my credit card account online:
"CITIZENSHIP IMM FSW
Transaction date: 09/12/2014
Card type: Visa

I called BofA and confirmed. They said that this transaction has been approved.

Thank God and thanks to the experts on this forum that my amount got deducted even though the original CC was blocked. Payment has been charged against my new CC.

Being a 28 May applicant, I was not expecting any action before next week but thankfully got the good news today!!!! HAPPY WEEKEND..PARTY TIME!!

Will update the spreadsheet soon.

CONGRATULATIONS

Hi CanOL

What are your estimates for NOC 2173 ?

Ggulati,

As per spreadsheet 74 members out of 299 for NOC 2173 have been charged fees or in further advanced stages.

CIC site mentions 242 nos. to date. (around 30% representation for this NOC on this forum which is more or less in line with our estimates)

There are 225 members as per SS who have either already submitted their applications or are about to submit their applications, but not yet charged. Seems you have just submitted your application on 11th Sept. Extrapolating, as per 30% representation for this NOC, we get around 750 candidates who have not been charged. (i.e. who who have already submitted their application or then yet to submit)

242+750=992.....

So I guess you are just about touch and go as per these rough calculations, but I sincerely hope you make it.

And don't trust these rough calculations too much.. I hope I am wrong and CIC accepts all applications from members on this forum.

I want to know the same thing that am I eligible for 1114 as I've done my graduation in Nursing? ?

1114 is for OTHER FINANCIAL MANAGERS. (account managers / relationship managers).

don't know how nursing can fit in.

As a general rule (with some exceptions), your education does not have to match your nominated NOC. So you should be able to apply as a financial manager even though you have a nursing degree.

Education requirement is not considered while assessing job experiences. You are eligible to apply in NOC 1114 with degree in nursing.

Cheers.

Hello Lovely People,

I am back with one of my requests again for you guys to help me out. The thing is that I have received my MR earlier this week and I scheduled an appointment for getting the medicals done on Monday. We came to know last week that my wife is pregnant (nearly 5 weeks). I have been searching on the net regarding the medical examination and I came across a few cases where people have deferred the X-ray till delivery and some actually got it done with a protective shield over the abdomen.
Can anyone please advise what to do? Should we wait till the baby is born or get the X-ray done with the shield?

Thanks in advance.... :)

Harry

Harry

you will need to get this checked from some medical expert since it is a sensitive issue. We would not be the right people giving advise.

thanks dear......
I was thinking of applying in 1114 as well as I have 5 years of experience in financial data analysis and interpretation but somebody told me that your application will be rejected first hand as your degree and experience does not match .......
