Hi guys.

My application reached on May 22nd. And my DD has not been charged yet (according to my bank).
I made the DD in Rupees instead of dollars, but I attached that day's exchange rates with my application. Do you think it can be a problem if draft is not in dollars??

It is very clearly stated in many places that DDs must be in CAD and drawn on a Canadian bank. Your application will be returns for missing payment.

Praise the Lord!!!! Finally got my PER few minutes back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Application Reached Date: 21st May
Fee Encashed: 3rd September
PER Received: 12th September

Also just wanted to share few of the minor mistakes in my application:
1. Did not put the Bar Code page on top as instructed (This should be a minor one as many people had done this).
2. My WES Report did not contain the actual year of completion of my Master's Degree. Actual completion date was 2009 but WES mentioned it as 2008. This had some contradicting details with the Background Information mentioned in other form. I however got it corrected by WES and they later informed me that, the updated report was sent to CIC
3. Also, I mentioned Arranged Employment Category in the Address but I only applied for FSW Category (NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category)
4. I only had 5 roles in my latest job and 6 roles in my earlier job.
5. My salary was not mentioned in one of the Employment letters, but I attached my playslips. I did not explicitly mention that salary is missing in the cover letter.

Irrespective of all these, I got my PER. Thanks a lot for all the support I got from this forum. I have updated the spreadsheet.

Also I have a slow internet connection today and please bear with me if I don't respond back.

and yes I am going to KILL that bank branch manager who misguided me about my draft. He did it once before while I was applying for my masters degree in England.

Now in case I re-apply, I have a few questions.

a) Can my sister pay on my behalf in Canadian dollars? She lives in Toronto and if possible she can use the CC. The question is, if it is allowed or not?

b) Do I need to send a new PCC? Or any other docs that need to be renewed? My IELTS is valid till next year and I also sent PCC with my application.

But, I would prefer contacting CIC about this matter. I can call them on Monday and explain everything. Can anyone tell me their number??

1) You can. Just write her info in the payment form.
2) PCC is not a must during initial application. You can skip on this if you want to send a new application ASAP.

Additionally, you have to fill out fresh updated forms and send everything that you sent earlier as it has to be independent of the old application. You didn't say when your application reached CIC. If it hasn't been too long, then you can also send just the additional document instead of sending a whole new application.

Edit: Making public threats to one's life isn't a good idea, no matter you are joking or not. Also, it is your job to know what needs to be sent especially since it is very clearly written in CIC's guidelines, not the bank manager's.

They were taking some time in processing the last year applications (returned due to CAP filled).

I applied in Sep 2009 and got PER in Nov 2009 and AOR in Jan 2010 then CIC changed the VO from Islamabad to London and in Mar 2012 they reject the application. (NOC 0711)

Then I applied in 2013 (NOC 2131 as 0711 was removed )but application back due to CAP filled.

Now in 2014 I again applied (NOC 0711) but no reply from then yet (May 15 application) its in pending list as per SS

I also called them but the computer gave me the same reply as I saw on their web page.
I sent them a mail on Sep 5 lets see what the result came.

Whats your opinion about the pending application till May 20 (as May 26 is in progress)

Could you tell what the reason for refusal was in 2012?

Since you are May 15 applicant, I don't think you need to worry too much since CIC is still processing applications from that week. Don't psych yourself too much, just relax and wait.

I'm really interested in how you've got the spreadsheet to be so automated. One of these days when I have some (more) time on my hands, I'm gonna find out 8).

It's all "open source", so whenever you or anyone else interested has time - you can make a copy of the spreadsheet via the menu (File -> Make a copy, the menu is visible only when current number of spreadsheet viewers is less than 50, that's a Google limitation. And you also have to be signed in with your Google/Gmail account),
The copy will allow you to modify it, which means you will have access to areas that are not accessible in read-only mode. Specifically, the code that manages all the aspects of the spreadsheet can be found via the menu of the copied spreadsheet: Tools -> Script Editor

How many may 7th applicant with visa office NDVO are still to get MR? Already started worrying .In what order are they issuing MR? I mean category wise or randomly or wht?


according to the updates seen in this spreadsheet, they r issuing randomly !! I am 9th may applicant and waiting eagerly for MR. if it wont come within 15 days, then we will be having vacation of Dusshera festival. So, a bit worried as well.
