OK I think I made a big blunder with my draft by not making it in dollars. I thought I read somewhere that it can work this way. And my bank has misguided me. I asked them if they can make a draft in dollars and they said no :/

Now what should I do? My NOC is 2172. Not a hot NOC I think. So if my file comes back I can re-apply right away!?

It depends on whether your wife has been currently living in the country that the PCC was issued for. If yes, then it will almost always need to be within 3 months of issuance when CIC receives it. May be NDVO will allow exception, but that's only a guess. So, if you want to be 100% sure then you can get a fresh one. Also, if getting PCC doesn't take a long time then you can wait for the request from NDVO.

Thanks Namaste, I guess it safer getting another done, than a last minute rush.

The checklist and guideline VERY CLEARLY says that the DD has to be in canadian dollars and there are cases from the past where applications have been rejected for this reason. You should have gone to another bank or branch that CAN give you DD in dollars.

Anyways, you can either send a new application or send a new DD as an addition following Oscar7's suggestions. When was your application received? If it was in May, then go for a new application, if it was later then you can try sending just the DD.

Anybody from app received date May 28th or 29th got CC-c / DD-e?

I think 27th is latest charged date

What are the documents that we need to attach alongwith RPRF DD? I m going to send passport photocopy,DD,medical request forms sent by high commission.Since it iclearly written in the medical instruction that the medical result will be forewarded by the doctors themselves. I think receipt for medical is not that important, CIC have no thing to do with the receipt but with the report that physicians upload to their site. Pls correct me if I am wrong

How many may 7th applicant with visa office NDVO are still to get MR? Already started worrying .In what order are they issuing MR? I mean category wise or randomly or wht?

Congrats,

As you mentioned the mistakes you did, wanted to ask if you had mentioned the no. of working hours in the emp letter..?

Thanks Shaarav. Yes the number of hours and that I am a full time employee were mentioned in both of my reference letters.

congrats.!

I also mentioned only 5 lines for my job responsibilites. will that be enough?

Well that depends. For me all the 5 roles are matching to the NOC I applied which is 2174. If yours is also the same case, then, I think it should be fine.

Reach out to CIC from a new email ID and also mark the old one in it. Explain the issue and provide lots of data points to identify self and the original application e.g. full name, DOB, passport #, Country of birth / origin/ residence, application received date, NOC, UCI # etc.

PS - Recommend also sending a cover letter by courier for the above, and can actually scan the same and send by email (as suggested above). In the email also provide tracking # of the later sent courier & date on which it is expected / received at CIC
Oscar dude,
Do u remember that sumone mentioned that he got mail from cic that if DD is not working then they will ask....do u??

Some wild guess work for 2174 NOC.

As per spreadsheet 188 members out of 368 in SS for NOC 2171 have been charged fees or in further advanced stages.

CIC site mentions 537 nos. to date. (again around 33% representation on this forum which is more or less in line with our estimates)

As 537 applicants have already been selected as per CIC, 463 remain to be selected as CAP is 1000.

As per 33% representation again for this NOC, approximately first 155 members in SS (463 remaining seats*33%) whose fees have still not been debited / not recd PER can still qualify.

This roughly translates to all applicants whose applications are recd at CIC before 7th Aug 2014 being safe. So probably that might be the cut off date for NOC 2174

Anyways, this is just some statistical data and forecasts which may very well go wrong as we do not know how many people have applied who are not on this forum. Ideally would want every applicant who has applied to be selected.

Pls correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks buddy. The thing that creates confusion is the word territory on CIC website. It says, you need to get PCC for every country/territory that you've stayed in for more than 6 months.

For India you just need one PCC from your current location of residence. Hope this helps. Good Luck! :)
