Firstly Congratulations The next step is to wait for PER mail.
Enter your details in the SpreadSheet and refer the SpreadSheet, most of your questions will be answered from the data provided from members of this forum.

27th may has not been charged yet, but i have just noticed from the spreadsheet that a forumite - prashant -may 26 applicant who had used DD has it encashed whereas there is no 23may applicant with DD that has been charged yet.

Strange isn't it?

But if may 26 applicants with DD have also started moving then may 27 and 28 -CC applicants can be charged today

iam also a May 7th applicant , received PER on 8th Aug. Still awaiting to hear the next good news. that is true, a handful of guys who recd PER on second week of aug received MR and immigration fee already.

2) Roles and Responsibilities - Our HR had refused me providing me the Roles and Responsibilities in the company letter head, even after request them more than 3 to 4 times they didn't provided me and told its the policy that they cannot break. So, I got my Roles and Responsibilities in a Stamp Paper and duly signed by my Senior colleague who is a Technical Consultant and has been working with me since last 8 years.
The situation is, I am with the same company for last 8.5 years and have my offer letter, Promotion letter and incremental letters which mentions the Job description. So, I got the HR Director write me in a mail that she cannot provide me the Roles and responsibility and would keep it with the attested letter by colleague.
Has there been any case rejected because of the Roles and responsibilities provided by a senior technical person in place of the HR? In-spite of keeping all the supporting documents...

Hi All,

I have few questions regarding FSW 2014. I am planning to send my docs to CIC in this week only but before sending to them i want to clear my few doubts.

1) do we have to send all passports ? Old and current both

2) Do we have to send all marksheets including secondary high school ? ( I mean 10th grade and 12th grade as I am from India)

3) Can we use paperclip for binding those documents and forms as they are many ? I can say around 70 pages.

4) I am unable to fit all pages in CIC mentioned envelope which 9" x 12" ... so what should I do ?

If anyone can answers above questions then it would be great for me.

Thanks for the update obryan20 +1 . Two years back there was a rumour that they are going to start giving multiple entry 10 year visa, just like the US B1/B2 visa. Any idea, if 10 year period is implemented now? I had got 2 year multiple entry then.

Multiple entry visa is for 10 years validity or until the expiry of the passport.

Each depends on each persons usage habits and the association the person has had with a particular bank. If you are an old customer then you have trust with the banking institution and the way it works. Risk, after all is present in DD as well, as rightly pointed by Manish. I do agree with those who say the card should be literally in a locker until CIC charges you (lest the file is incomplete!).

If a person uses his/her CC card at the drop of a hat, then yes. It wouldn't be advisable to use it as a payment method since the credit limit may be exceeded due to over indulgence.

When i decided to use CC as payment option, i checked with my bank first, with whom i am in good and old relation as a user, that i am applying for FSW and will use your card and told them please don't do any changes in it or do anything with it for next 6 months. I revised credit limit and now it is 3 times of fees require and then i safely put my card in locker in my home. And every month i check with my bank and tell them to do nothing with my card or with my account.

How to Fill them...

Hi all,

This is in response to the numerous PMs received requesting a copy of my Form B4. As I did it on the system & there's no way to 'save' that, I remain handicapped to forward it. Thus, this thread.

Here's what I did; & how u could do it...

ASSUMPTIONS/PROLOGUE:
a) The form B4A is an extension of the form B4 [which is the main one to file]. Writing the B4A is a similarly daunting task, thus can be avoided. I didn't.
b) As the form B4 contains 'only' 8 rows to fill the goods/items, use only 8 groups of things. How? Explained later.

WHAT U SHOULD CARRY?
U should make 2 copies of the form B4. One for the 'Goods Accompanying' & one for the 'Goods to Follow'. Alongwith the attachments. What's that? Here u go...

STEP-1:
a) Group all similar items into one list & thus make 8 lists.
b) Type these groups in Excel Sheets* [separate for each group]. Title each Sheet. And a Page No.
c) Enlist the Columns as: Sl.No | Item Description | Qty | Value (CAD) |
d) Total the Value, of each Excel Sheet.
e) Take printouts of each Excel Sheet in A4 size paper [2 copies].

*Eg. 1.Electronics, 2.Jewelries, 3.Clothing & Personal Effects, 4.Books & DVDs, 5.Gadgets & Mobile Phones, 6.Cutlery & Utensils, 7.Home Decorations & Murals AND 8.Linens & Drapers. [the Title Heading can vary as per your choice & requirement]

STEP-2:
a) Place all jewelry in Groups* & click Pictures [Must, else they'll not be accepted].
b) Title each Sheet. And put a Page No.
c) Take printouts of each Jewelry Group in A4 size paper [2 copies].
d) Make an Excel Sheet, for the Summary of the Jewelry Sheets. And place a Value against each group.
e) Total the Excel Sheet Value, in the end.

*Eg. 1.Rings, 2.Bangles & Bracelets, 3.Chains & Necklaces, 4.Cummerbunds, 5.Diamond Sets, 6.Ear-Rings & Pendants, 7.Head-Bands & Chokers etc. (each in one group/sheet). [the Title Heading can vary as per your choice & requirement]

STEP-3: [Major Step]
a) Fill-out the form B4, as per the 8 Title Headings AND write the Total Value of each Excel Sheet.
b) Make a box [by hand] at the End of the 8 rows' Value Column. Write the Total Value* of the Goods.
c) For the Name field, write the PA's name.
d) For the Importer's Address, write the Canadian Address.
e) For the Country of Export, write your Home Country's Name.
f) For the Goods to Follow BOX [below the list rows], "Tick" it.
g) At Page-2 of the form B4, "Tick" the Newcomer BOX.
h) Bottom of the Page-2, Sign, Date [the day of Landing] & Location [write your Landing POE's name].

*U must write the Total Value of the entire goods, as that's needed by the CBSA to log on their system.

STEP-4:
a) Print-it out [on regular A4 sheets], both pages [1 & 2] separately.
b) Take 2 printouts [one for the CBSA & one for U, with their Stamp, Sign & Date].
c) Staple all the Excel Sheets & the Jewelry Sheets, into each form B4.

NOTE:
1. Do not forget to take 2 printouts of each form B4 and its attachments. One will be kept by them.
2. Do not forget to take pics of the Jewelry. Else, they'll not accept it*.
3. Do not forget to get it stamped on landing. Sometimes the BSO doesn't ask. It's our prerogative.

*In that case they'll ask u to get it by email & visit the airport the next day for stamping your B4. Though it can be done, but u get into unnecessary hassles, time & effort. And u just have 24 hrs to do so. Which is an avoidable tension. Isn't it?
