I filed my application on 29th Aug, and I gave credit card details for payment.
and unfortunately, the Credit card company has issued me a new credit card, for some apparently nation wide fraud prevention.

Anyone has any ideas, what should I do.
I will appreciate your help. I am worried since my category is 2173!!

Don't activate the new card. Call the credit card company and explain the situation and try to have the old one active for until CIC charges you.

Most PCC's are valid for a year, unless specified in the document. For NDVO applicants they are giving around 45 days to send them PCC, when they contact them. Not sure what would be period LVO would give you. In my opinion as your have already got your PER, its best to start getting your PCC. Especially if you need to get PCC from multiple countries, work on it right away.

Rest is your decision. All the best.

I agree 200%.

To all members who rcvd PER,
Would you please let me know what you could see in second page of your ecas?
Is it just : "1-we rcvd ur app for PR on May ... 2014" or more than this?

Yes, just that. It will be updated further with additional lines as time passes and the application progresses.

If you have UCI, send the revised payment form. If you are lucky, it will get added. Also give a cover letter.

Better, if you can convince your bank to revert your old CC.

Hi mannish

Are you sure you wanted to type " no tension of fluctuating dollar value " in advantages
If yes then please explains how can be it useful/advantage on dollar hedging
( I always use to thought in dd we don't have to worry about dollar fluctuations )

Thanks in advance

here i mean to say, whatever will be the value at that time it will be debit from Card, if one have that limit in card.
Because i remember last year when dollar jumped from $ 55 to $ 62 in comparison to INR. This was the main concern of tension for lots of people.

PER PER PER PER PER

:D Received my PER today!!!

May 22nd applicant, NOC 2174. SS updated.

I'm using the services of Campbell Cohen as consultants, and made my payment through them. I believed they enclosed a DD with the application, but my PER acknowledges a credit card payment, so I changed this information accordingly. I do not know when the CC was charged, though.

Good luck to all the members, and may we all meet for a beer in Canada!

Now onto another waiting game...

Congratulations! Welcome to wait #2. At least this one should be less stressful as we now know we are IN! No more worrying about "will my application be in cap or will it be returned" :D :D.

Hi Oscar,

I got the below communication along with UCI#. I believe this is PER so how much time will it take NDVO to take action on my application.

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office"

Congratulations :)
Enter your details into the SpreadSheet, using the link mentioned below in my signature. Then refer the SpreadSheet, for data provided by applicants like you on the time taken by NDVO for each of the applications to get MR.

Exactly !!
So in fact CC will be a problem as you do not have a control at what exchange rate your fees are going to be debited.
In DD, this is upfront and you know the exchange rate.
