I got my PER and not submitted PCC along with application.
Now Can I start processing for my PCC?
What is the PCC validity requirement from LVO?
Or should I wait for some intimation from LVO regarding PCC?

Have you guys realized that the CHARGE date on the SS has changed drastically?
My application got at CIO on August 27th and my charge estimate date was around early February 2015. Now the SS says I might get charged from 12 to 26 do December 2014! Wow! Great news!

Does anyone have a clue why that changed so drastically?

We have one undercover cic officer among us in forum
He / she does all this updating thingy time to time

My application has me as the principal applicant and my wife as a dependant. Now how much RPRF fee do I need to pay? just 490 CAD or 490 + 490 CAD?

when i am trying to go to the CIC website and pay my RPRF online, it is asking me to create a Login id(with my email id and password) and then it goes to the secured website where i am supposed to enter the credit card details.


My question is , how would the receipt specify that the fee is paid by whom and against which application number?
Am i going to the wrong link, am i missing something or is it the way?

Folks, I need info about proof of funds.

1. Do I need to send copy or original bank statement to CIC ? Notarized/ bank attested photocopy will suffice the purpose
2. I read somewhere that you should have the money in the account for at least 3 months before getting the statement. What if I haven't had it for 3 months ?? preferably as old as possible are good but it is not mandatory. But if u show old funds it will give a positive impression to the reviewer that you have your own funds and these are not arranged/borrowed
3. Can I just submit a letter from bank that states only the current balance in my account ? Again if submitted alongwith detailed statement, it will strengthen your case

Yes CanOl, you are right that CC is not safe then DD.
But there many Benefits to pay with CC then DD.

Advantages:
1) Once payment get charge, it will be reflect in email and message immediately.
2) Amount will only be deducted only when payment charged, not have to spend cash in advance.
3) No DD making charges.
3) No Tension of Validity like in DD and No tension of fluctuating Dollar value.

Disadvantage:
1) Always take care of CC until it get charged, if lost or damage then it will be a problem.
2) If CC will not work at the time of charging (very rare chances if given details are correct).


So benefits are more then disadvantages if you take care of your CC till payment get charged.

Some of the advantages are actually not advantages :

Advantages:
1) Once payment get charge, it will be reflect in email and message immediately. - DD also you can get status by checking with issuing bank
2) Amount will only be deducted only when payment charged, not have to spend cash in advance. - How much are you going to earn on this amount for 6 months ???...Even if the CC is charged after 6 months, you will save only Rs 1,750 considering 5% returns on FD (after tax) for Rs 70,000 which is the approx charge for 2 adults and 1 child.
3) No DD making charges. - Again how much are you going to save ? Is it really more than your peace of mind ???
3) No Tension of Validity like in DD and No tension of fluctuating Dollar value. - Agree there is no validity issuein CC, but considering DD validity at 6 months, why do you need a greater validity ? Also what if the card gets damaged in 6 months or needs to be replaced or bank chooses to close a particular kind of card or upgrades your card ??? In fact the risk increases as tenor increases... Also Fx market 6 months hence is not known to us. So fluctuating dollar is a bigger worry in CC as you don't know at what rate the CC is going to be charged. In DD it is known at the time of issuance itself.

i just want to ask those who already got PPR, how many days were given to you by the visa office (from the day you receive the PPR email) to comply with the passport submission?

do you think this time period is the same for all visa offices or is it going to be different and depends on the respective VO themselves?

ECAS UPDATE ON :31 AUG

PER RECEIVED DATE :11 SEP

Bank Certificate is on Bank Letter Head, stating below details on it and signed by Authorized person:

It will contain:

Name of Account Holder
Type of account- Savings, salaried, etc
Date of account opening
Amount till date (current date)

and signed by Authorized person.
