Sorry to be harsh, but just one word for you.
ARE YOU STUPID?
how can you rely on someone for this much serious matter?
Cant you had opted DD option?

You can not send DD to CIC now, they will not consider.
CIC will not send any email, they will take 3 attempts for the CC to be charged, if not succeed then they will return your file.

What you can do only is call CIC not even email as they will reply after 30 days. And talk about your issue

Agreed. +1.
DD is anyways the safer option and even more so if one does not have credit card in own/spouse name. To rely on others for this big a matter was always going to be fraught with a big risk and this story of kolsi is actually a big lesson to understand the gravity of risk for all those people who have used or intend to use others' credit card for payments.

Hi Friends,
My application has me as the principal applicant and my wife as a dependant. Now how much RPRF fee do I need to pay? just 490 CAD or 490 + 490 CAD?

PA $490 + Spouse $490 = $980

No fees for under 18yrs children.

Yes Two Different applicants. Infact I dont know who he is !!

Finally got the DD today from HDFC.
just to check..

-> there is no expiry date - so default validity is 6 months..right ? (this is what bank guy said, but half of them say 3 months and half of them say 6 months..)
-> They just wrote "the receiver general for canada" by hand and not typed..is that fine ?
-> bank details are "the bank of nova scotia", Toronto, ON
-> on the back of DD, there is an endorsement section - should I sign there?
-> and I should write my name and DOB in pencil on the back of DD - right ?

Seniors,

Is it important that appointment letter should be attached? I do have reference letter from clients and employer but don't have appointment letters (need to locate).

Thanks in advance.

Appointment letters are just additional supporting docs and it is not mandatory to send them. However, please make sure that the reference letters do have a clear mention of your roles and responsibilities.

It will be 490 for each, but you don't pay that until your local VO requests it.

How many marks for Bachelor in Commerce from Punjab University,Chandigarh ?

I hope/wish and pray that everyone receives PER at the earliest. :) :) :)

It is always good to make a strong case with all the facts available. Even CIC says, provide any other documents which deem necessary like paystubs, etc. Imagine you are the processing office and just find only a reference letter, you might be not very convinced and want to look at something else which establishes that fact that it is a reputed organisation and you are working for it. If you have it, please use it. This might narrow down the scope of additional verification which they might deem necessary.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

I am a 15.05 applicant and still no CC...
I would like to ask if someone tried to call the CIC via phone or sent them an e-mail with an enquiry, because I did call them and received an answer that no one could give me information by phone. A very polite person sent me an e-mail with information how to proceed - to send an enquiry by e-mail to which I should receive an answer no later than 30 working days.

Did someone call the CIC also ?

Regards.
In which category you applied

Hello there,
I recieved this from local VO:

Medical: Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical examination This must be received at this office by: 2014/10/26
 RPRF: Pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee This must be received at this office by: 2014/10/26
 Recent Indian original police clearance certificate for your spouse This must be received at this office by: 2014/10/26

So I believe it is infact time for me to pay RPRF. :-)
