Maple Leaf, a little clarification required. Do we need to mention 14,460 in ASSET section.

I mentioned below in my application, as my friend guided me to put 0 in Assets and said put bank balance amount in Settlement of funds, hope there will not be an issue, as I have already attached bank certificates and statements.

Asset: 0 ( I thought we have to mention any assets like property etc) so I didn't mentioned any thing in assets..
Liability: 0
Settlement fund : 14,460

Are you sure ? I guess degree too needs to be attested by univ.

Hi All,

I seem to have made the same mistake made by this person in the below quote from another forum thread...
I had downloaded all the forms from the web somewhere around June 1st or 2nd week and used those forms when i sent my document package in the first week of August..... I verified now that there are mainly 4 forms concerning me that have changed since...

1. Document CheckList IMM5612 (August 2014)
2. Generic Application Form IMM0008 (changed on 15th or 18th June i think)
3. Schedule 3 Economic Classes IMM0008 Schedule 3 (August 2014)
4. Fee Payment Form (August 2014)

My main cause of concern is the "Generic Application Form". I compared all other documents and the changes are minor enough not to affect my document.

However in the "Generic Application Form" I could spot three main differences as stated below:
1. Under heading "LANGUAGE DETAIL", Question No. 3 is added for both principal applicant and Spouse, which was not present in the older form. (I think this may be a deal breaker for me, as it may be considered as an incomplete information in the main form ? :'( )
- Have you taken a test from a designated testing agency to access your proficiency in English or French ?
2. Under "Consent and Declaration of Applicant" and new consent question is added. (This i think should not impact my application... ???)
- Do you consent to be contacted by CIC, or an organization at CIC's request, in the future ?
3. The barcode's that are generated after the document is validated seems to have a timestamp which is different from the timstamp in my barcode page i submitted. (If they use a different barcode reader for the new app, then it may be considered as an invalid app right??? sigh!! :-\ )
- New format IMM0008_07-2014_x whereas the old format generated as IMM0008_03-2014_x

What do you guys think of the above...? ??? :-[

P.S., for all new applicants, there is a way to get notification if any thing has been changed in the application while you are preparing for it. I suggest you ask to be notified, so that you don'd end up making the same mistake i did...

I notice that the new generic form has been posted and now is solved for printing issue. However, I have already sent out my application forms to the Canadian lawyer for review and they are ready to send out the package to CIC in few days time after review and sign.

Would that be a problem if I am still using the old form but guarantee it will be delivered to CIC before July 1? Or I need to update the form and sign again and courier to my Canadian lawyer for submission?

Will there be a period that both old & new form accepted? I am afraid even it's allowed now, by the time they review my package it's already mid July or after and they will consider my form outdated and got rejected.

Why they will use the term "July 2014" if the form is uploaded in June 2014? Does that mean they allow a period of acceptance till it's actually effective in July 1st?

Yeah...its true, but copy of degree cert must be in the sealed envelope given by university.....
Gujarat university only attest marksheets /transcripts.....so i kept a copy of degree cert.....hope this is useful...

Why did you not use the new forms then ? Why March forms in july ? Anyways i don't think it should be an issue. CIC will not reject for this reason is what I feel. But you should always try to use the latest forms. everything is available online.

Try getting checked if they have a professional lawyer out of Halifax that they send documents to may be? Just a thought!!! Although CanOl says that the Halifax address is some University, which is hard to make sense of then. I am just trying to think here as to what might be the case!! :-X

Are you sure that sealed transcripts without academic request form and a non attested degree photocopy is enough to be sent for ECA .

IF APPLICATION IS RECEIVED BY THEM BEFORE YEAR END, THEN EVEN IF CC IS CHARGED IN 2015 IF CAP IS NOT FULL, ONE CAN QUALIFY RIGHT???

the new express FSW programme will be announced in jan '15 and acceptance of applications under FSW 2014 will stop then.

1112 NOC Cap reached to 460 till date. Is there any hope or should I go for another NOC option while not to take risk? ??????? Help needed
