November 1st is way too late to apply under NOC 2171. The cap will be reached long before then.

I kind of disagree.. Sorry but I think November 1 might not be late.. As of day only 161 quota has been filled.. Going by the trend in lift few weeks we would have 200 by May end. That means 5 more months are going nowhere which brings us to September end. We do expect that the trend would fall since may and same is evident in spreadsheet and I think we can easily have another month for 2171.

Keep your hopes up and go for it. Just might turn rosy for you.

Got the Medical Request and RPRF request yesterday. I am so excited. But I need some guidance folks.
My Daughter's passport is expiring in May 2015. My attorney says that the passport should be minimum 1 year valid at the time of Medical exam. I am currently in USA and to renew my daughter's passport from the New York Jurisdiction might take anywhere from 3 to 7 weeks. I have to get the PCC from USA and India done as well as my attorney says I have to get all this done in 60 days from now....

I am a bit worried and tensed. Help needed guys!!!!!

One Important note for all those who are striving for Reference letters from their current / previous employers. I want to tell you all that I was NOT ABLE to provide the reference letters in the format which is requested, Also, infact, I was unable to provide any reference letter on the letter head and with the manager's sign. All I did was I had submitted the Petition copy of my visa where all the things like the salary, designation and my job duties were mentioned clearly. I guess that I am thru. Atleast strongly hoping for that as I have received the medical request already!!!

My brother is may 1st 2014 applicant. I have seen that 5th , 6th and 7th of May applicants got their medical req from NDVC. Does this mean hi application is rejected ?

I agree with SRBHRN. One should always keep hopes high and try till CAPS are not reached.

I have a querry regarding proof of funds. I have shown 700000 Rupees ($12727) as fixed deposit and 112000 (2100$) in my bank account against reqd. 11822$ .
My problem is that I was not able to maintain 112000 (2100$) in my bank account for last 3 months and according to estimation my file will be at local VDO in November if everything goes ryt 8). So Will it be necessary to maintain funds in my bank account as the amount in my fixed deposit ($12727) will fulfill the purpose.
Plzz advice......... ;D

I am not sure about your first two questions, however while I don't have a source, I think I have some idea about the third.

At some point in the process you have to do the Medical. As long as your passport is not going to expire soon, your visa would be limited to one year from your medical - no matter when it was issued. If it is not issued within one year of the Medical you would be required to do the Medical again. That's all I know. You can figure out the maximum time from that.

If ur brother has not received PER, Unfortunately there is 99% chance tht his app is rejected. Try to follow with ur local post to obtain returned file and then reapply.


Ask him to check Junk Mail (although usually junk mails get auto deleted after 1 month)

Bhai he is worried because did not get mr request. As he is from 1st may and others from 5 6 7th may people started getting MR.
