Hello everyone, I just recieved my WES evaluation report according to which my Post graduate diploma in management which is equivalent to MBA in india, has been given canadian equivalency of post secondary study at a non recognized institution.

I will be contacting them about this but its going to take a long time and I'm not sure what it might take :(

Oh yeah Ms 911...as a matter of fact I never left...just keep myself on and off... ;D ;D ;D

I am sorry to hear that. You are yet another victim of the dubious "study" evaluation by WES. I would suggest you to immediately start the process of evaluating your bachelor degree along with getting this situation sorted out (that is, if bachelor's degree gives you enough points to qualify).

hello fellow fsw applicants! hope somebody can help me here.

i'd like to seek an advice regarding what is the appropriate NOC for my husband. He's been working in the call center for 5 years 1 yr Processing Manager in the same field but unfortunately this year he got terminated automatically by the company due to power tripping. he's a graduate of BS Educ and Theology and we're still waiting for his IELTS results.
Is NOC "6314 Customer and information services supervisors" would be applicable for him? or any suggestions for this matter?

Thanks in advance for your reply. :) ;)

Hi,

First, a crucial query, how are you 'he' and with a name 'palak'? Very serious question, jokes aside!! Smiley

Cheers!! Wink

Hi Everyone,

I'm a citizen of India and they received my application on May 5th. (Under 1112)

On Jun 11th I received an e-mail from them which had my application number and mentioned that "my application has a received a positive determination of eligibility on the basis of Work Exp" and that my application would be sent to the Visa Office.
They also charged me on my CC but I have received no communication from them since then.
The CIC website says that application is still "under process".

Just had a few questions:

1) Have any other May 5th applicants received anything more? What's next for me?
2) How much does it generally take them to send the request for Medical Report?
3) If I do receive the medical request (hopefully) in how much time can I need to send them back the results along with my Passport?

Kindly help, I'm a bit worried.

Thanks!!!

Sorry but NOC 6314 is not an open NOC this year...

Finally after requesting fedex to return my shipment and updating the aug 2014 forms, my application have already been received today by D.Lewis. I hope though i'd still make it to cap for 2171. Too much time wasted from my first sending on August 19 to now. But at least less worry..

Hoping for the best for all of us. :-)

I'm curious if without that MBA, do you get sufficient points (e.g. through a bachelors degree). If yes, then no need to sweat it.
O. O.

I needed 23 points for my masters to make the required 67points. They have evaluated my bachelors as equivalent to 4 years Canadian bachelors.

Do i get any points for post secondary study from non recognized institution ? I dont think so

Wooww...interesting... is this something related to naming conventions in Gujarat...or its your personal choice to misguide someone on the forum? :P :P :P

Oh, OK. Unfortunately, the way WES evaluated you will get no points for your diploma since it is a "study" and not a completed degree or diploma according to them. Keep fighting with them to at least get a diploma credential.

Edit: But a diploma evaluation will only give you 22 points instead of 23, so you will still not qualify.

yes as per the current trend...

I suppose that's an average as I've been waiting more than 3 months and 1 week

No unfortunately you will get 21 points for bachelors...but you can improve on your IELTS score and gain those 2 points...which NOC are you applying to?
