I need help for my sister appln under NOC 1212. She got overall band 6 in IETLS but got 5.5 in reading and 6 + in other 3 components. She has given her IELTS 3 times but same results. Just wanted to check that NOC 1212 is Skill B. Cant she still apply with these scores has she still scores more then 67 points , even after taking IELTS points as 12.

no bro....getting 6 each is first requirement to be eligible to apply.....getting 6 in reading needs more concentration and practice......

I have run out of that as Service Canada have driven me mad, they have changed the LMIA application three times and had my employer fill out a new one everytime
 
Guys,

Just want to share some of thoughts with my fellow members whoever opted for Credit Card payment and has not been charged yet for the processing fee. We all know how desperately we all are waiting for the payments to get charged and move on to next stage for the PER.

Friends it's very important that there should be no processing glitch or hurdles at time of processing the fees. I'm listing some to the guidelines which we can take into the consideration.

Here are some reasons credit card might be declined and ways to avoid the situation:

  • Odd spending pattern - If your card provider notices strange patterns in your spending habits they may well put a block on your credit card for security purposes. If you only ever use your credit card a couple of times a week for very small purchases, and then in one day there are 3-4 large purchases made you issuer may flag the activity as strange and potentially fraudulent and will block the card.
  • Available credit limit - Regularly keep an eye on your available credit limit. I would say it's better to deposit extra or park some extra money into the Credit Card account for the time being, let credit card balance should go negative for the couple of months.
  • Avoid making multiple purchases at the same store (or website) within a few minutes of each other.
  • You have a suspicious charge - Credit card companies can be quick to freeze an account if they suspect fraud
  • Daily limit – Some credit cards have daily spending limit within the terms and conditions. If you have not read your terms properly you may not be aware of these and this could result in you overspending and having a transaction declined.
  • Spending abroad – If you are going abroad you should really contact your card provider to let them know. If they suddenly see a range of transactions happening overseas, they may well suspect fraud and block your card.
  • A temporary hold has been placed on your card – say for a rental car or hotel reservation – that puts you over your credit limit. Always ask whether a hold will be placed, how much and for how long, and factor that into your remaining balance calculations.
  • You miss a monthly payment. Card issuers may let this slide once or twice, depending on your history with them, but eventually if you don't make at least the minimum payment due, your card will probably be frozen and declined for the future transactions
  • Keep Them Informed - It's better to contact your card provider and let them know of your Canada Immigration transaction, by this you are authorizing the bank to process the transaction.
  • Check the maximum amount your card can be charged at a single time. If the declined charge in your account is higher than this amount, try asking your credit card company to increase the limit.
  • Make sure that your card can accept international charges.
  • Also check if any supplementary cards are issued on your primary card, keep a check on those cards usage also.
  • If you get a replacement card during this waiting period, then please do not activate it. The movement you activate new card, the old one will be automatically be deactivated. And guess what CIC will do...?
  • Last but not the least, I would say it's better to keep the card in the safe, and try to avoid using it for your day to day transactions, till the time CIC charge the payment. It's better to be Safe than Sorry.

Online shopping limit on my debit card is raised to 100,000 by My Bank....

I hope that CIO will not have any trouble charging my card to $ 1400 CAD.....

your views mates...?
 
I have worked it out CIO only has one plug socket so they can either plug in the credit card machine and charger or plug in the computer and email PER, hence why they cant do both at once lol

This waiting malarkey is boring me, Im off to look for a unicorn as they are less rare than CC charge and PER from CIC lol

does anyone know email contact info. of ndvo. I have got PER but no AOR.
I have a situation where my current employer's HR person (who's email was on reference letter) is no longer with company. although the phone no. is good.
so I am thinking if i need to email NDVO about it. any suggestions?

Those are good points. What I did was called the CC company and told them that CIC Canada will be charging so-and-so amount at around so-and-so time. They said we will be waiting for it. :)

See how I transferred my waiting worries to the CC company instead. ;)
