Sorry to beat this topic, but can anyone suggest where I can get my PCC translated by certified translators. I don't want to try someone random online, so I am asking for help here.
Thank you in advance,
O. O.

Translations have to be certified, but not necessarily done by a certified translator. There is a difference between the two things.

Get it translated from anyone (expect you and your family) who knows both languages, and then get a translator's affidavit from that person. Get it notarized, and you are done.

Sample of translator's affidavit that you may use : http://www.toronto-notary-public.com/sample_trans_aff.htm

NOC 2174 almost reaches 500 (ie. half of 1000 cap) mid-way thru May applications, but it seems this predication chart does not show this fact?

This is based on CIC updates only, as the title says. It predicts when will CIC website announce that the CAP is full. It doesn't tell which date applications will those be at that time.

Thank you nskatcv. I was looking at the information given here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=039&t=4
In the above mentioned link/URL, they clearly say that it should be a certified translator and they link to their definition of what a certified translator is. Do you think that getting a translators affidavit notarized would do? (Should mention again that this is for the PCC, not for other documents.)

Thanks again,
O. O.

It could be just for the PCC, but please do read what the guide says on this as well.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document.

Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.

Important information. Translations by family members are not acceptable.

Have u read my reply below, I went through the same thing, do you have loomis ref number?

Dear moamana82,

-Call DHL customer care,
-ask them to give you their third party tracking number ( from toronto they usually forward the courier via Loomis(courier service)
-go to loomis website and track you application
- I believe your package must have reached CIC

DHL site is updated 2-3 days after the package is delivered to CIC that happend in my case as well as some of my freinds who used DHL

Dear All,

My wife's passport expiry is in 2014 and also the address is different from the current address. Now I have to get the PCC also done for her.

So what to do.

Please share your views & suggestion.

PS: Last month I received the UCI & Application #.

Hi, I googled the below, don't think FSW would run into any problem just because one already has a work permit. Cheers! :)

Hello All,

My spouse just got his TRV and study permit. However, we are considering applying for the current FSW 2014 because he qualifies. Pls will this pose a problem as dual intent. And will it also cause myself the kids refusal on visitors visa because we intend visiting him nxt year.

Kindly advise if we should put in d application or we wait till he finishes. Canada immigration changes every yr so that is why we are considering the fsw option.

Regards,
Timi.

Hello Timilehin

Thanks for your post. Generally this should not be a problem. Usually if you file a FSW and THEN a TRV application you could run into issues. But since your spouse has a TRV already that should be fine. Of course he must abide by the terms and conditions of his TRV and study permit. For help with your FSW application you can complete our online immigration assessment
Best
Michael

Oscar,

Thank you so much for the reply. This puts me into better spirits now.

Hi Mate, I found out from the lady who issued me the DD. I talked to her while getting the DD and then itself took her contact details and told her that I'll follow up in due time for encashment. She said fine and then later she checked and confirmed immediately (like in a day).

So go to that branch in person and check with the forex guys there - don't forget to take the copy of the DD with you. Which city did you take the DD from?

Cheers!
Thanks Oscar. ... I sent u a PM

This tally of FSW completed applications is really a bummer.

The tally released just the other day is only "The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received since May 4, 2014 is an estimate." based from the footnote.

The total number of complete application for 2174 is already at 481! after 4 days of opening!
What more do you expect 2 weeks after may 1.

Canada's CIO should hasten their work in updating this tally sheet because many immigration agencies are still squandering the money of their applicants by making them believe that they can still be in the CAP where in fact it is impossible to be accepted under those HOT NOC by now!

What a poor performance by the canadian immigration!

Hey did you miss the part "Since" not till. But still May 4 was a sunday :o
