MR request: Sept 1st.

1. How much Money I can carry with me at the time of first landing.
a. Cash
b. Traveller Cheque

2. Which all goods can I mention and which all good will be allowed and with what limit.

3. Can I also bring my Car, if yes then will they ask me for customs and other charges....

Guys,

I've few concerns regarding the new Schedule 3 form for my present job which is just 7 months old:

1. Do I've to include it in the Work Experience?
2. Since it's less than a year, so what would be the Years of Experience?
3. Will it be OK if I cannot get the reference letter of duties for my present job.

Please Advice.

188 is the PER issued till May 9th to 12th. Lot of applications are yet to be opened under 2173. Did WCS received your transcript? usually it takes 20 days for processing after receiving all docs.. Anyways all the best...

Thank you very much. I think I got the PER already if this is what you were referring to:

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. Only applicants who meet the criteria specified in these Ministerial Instructions are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.


Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Your application has now been placed into processing. "

My file was delivered on 07 Aug 2014. When can I expect a response from CIO and from which mail ID?
I got a DD issued from Thomas Cook. How can I check whether it got encashed or not?
Currently the count for 2173 is 188. Do you think I have chances this year?
Does consultant plays any role in fast processing of a file? I have not consulted any one and have sent my file on my own

Now people who had submitted forms from 14th may to 16th may are getting PER . CIC started declaring these figures in their website 2 months back.

The total applications submitted till date would be around 800 to 900 ......

I have applied for 2174 computer programmer category, and attached every supporting documents including, PCC, IELTS, ECA, Bank Letter, etc. I have self calculated point 68, my question is how long will it take to receive PER?

I know many forum'ites have already told you that you may not reach the cap. But i would suggest do not lose hope until you get an official letter from CIC stating otherwise. Lets not forget that lots of applicants of May month were those who had most of their documents ready to be submitted. Thus the huge rush. It is possible due to unavailability of IELTS dates and delays in getting ECA report the number of applicants has reduced in the month of June , July and August. So don't lose hope until u see in the official CIC website about cap being reached.
