Looks like our cic gods are on leave. Don't see any credit card charge . I was expecting that thy would start 21. It looks like the current processing time of 86 to 96 days are going to stay. I still have to wait another 45 days

Speaking of CC charge, there are loads of applicants awaiting CC charge from 15th and 16th May. Apparently, it seems as if CIC is more focused on finishing off the pending PERs for 13th and 14th May before resuming CC charge for pending applicants of 15th and 16th May, this is what i think. I have a feeling that in the next week or so, we can expect some acceleration on that front.

Hi Seniors,

just wondering, how CIC works with the CC & DD,
is that so they charge CC first and than DD, if yes - it means CC ppl gets PER ahead than DD ppl...?
please clear my query... :(

Hey Guys

I sent my application on 20th aug
I just realized i have sent the photocopies of the reference letters from the two companies i have worked for.
along with that I have sent the pay slips ,joining letters Form 16 and also resination letters wherever applicable.

My ques is: Do we have to send the reference letters mentioning job deacription & responsibiltirles in original or would photocopies suffice?

As stated in checklist, only photocopies are required.

Hi Ricky,

I wish some more senior members/veterans would chime in, but I sent the photocopies of my reference letters and I got my PER, so you should be OK. I think you need to have the originals in case they interview you.

Thanks gimmenergy,

As i have submitted pre marriage passport of my wife in my file to CIC. Would updating it now impact my application processing?

I don't think that it will impact your application processing. However, once you get renewed passport then send a copy to CIC stating your application id. Your renewed passport will also be having old passport number mentioned at the last page.

Hi, i also used DD for payment.. How did you know once it was encashed and how long from the date they received your application?

The day they sent you PER.. is it the same day you knew that your DD was encashed? Thanks for your response :))

If you use a DD, you don't know the date it was encashed. For me:
App Received: May 12
DD Encashed: 23 July
PER Received: 19 Aug

Yes, I had no clue my DD was encashed until I received the PER email on 19 Aug. Some people go to the bank that issued the DD and inquire if it was encashed. I did not take the trouble.
O. O.

No it does not works like that. As DD need some time ( a week to 15 days) to be encashed as international banks are envolved it seems like cc are entertained first. And it doe not mean that CC ppl will get PER first.

cheers ;)

Im applying under NOC 1111. I'm worried about how it is catching up with 1112. I'm in the advance stage of my documentation. WES is expected to arrive on Sept 1 and most likely will lodge my application in less than 2 weeks.
I understand no one knows the real picture of CAP per NOC in the present. However, in your approximation, how safe will be my application to be included in the CAP?

Hi, its better to proceed rather worrying about the CAP. U never know your luck. What if your app reached after 1000th apps and 1 is rejected in 1000 n u become the next in the CAP. Better try before u regret.

Cheers ;)

Seems you are looking after Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Financial Control and Company Secretary for over 8 years. It is fairly OK to me. Use the full word for Over Draft (OD), Financial Institute (FI), Tax Deducted at source (TDS), etc. etc.

@ Oscar7 : I am OK with this.
Thanks Century do you think any other modification/addition is required. Is this format ok or I need to elaborate duties?
Thanks for your valuable time.

I think it is one year from the date of application submission i.e. next 1 year. If you do not have a visa for your current country of residence, then you would need to use your country of nationality. I hope seniors/veterans can chime in.

Thanks O_O... Do I need to show proof ? as my visa extension is in process, so at the time of application I dont have next 1 year visa but will get extended.

is anyone has different opinion than O-O ?

bro, It is not 1 year from the date of application. To apply for any specific VO, you need to legally stay in the country for the period mentioned in the application form. It does not matter what your future visa will be, CIC takes different time depending on the VO, so you can always direct them to change your VO once you receive the PER .

Good Luck !!

there will be no impact if you have provided a marriage certificate, i am assuming you did.

Most certainly you will be included. There was an influx of apps in the first month but after that its all very slow so do not worry and anyway no harm in trying.

CC/DD charges are more like in 110-120 days in my opinion for people after 20th may.
