Hello All,

So after all the sweating and sleepless nights looking at the number of appl in 3142 go up, I now have sme good news to share.

I got my IELTS results today and I scored
R:9, L:8.5, W:8 and S:7.5

Yohoo!! Phew!!

As I am still struggling with the personal history section of the form, I have a question.

The leave no gaps caveat scares me :( I do not want my application to be jeopardized because I missed something, or wrote something tat wasnt really needed.

Right enough of my ranting, can someone please help me with this?

I did some part time work during my college days as a fitness instructor but I do not a letter of experience from them and therefore do not want to show it in my personal history. As this time was during the course of my normal study course, can I choose not to mention it?

If I have to, how do I show it as I was attending college from 7-9 and working in the gym from 11-2 everyday for arnd 6 months.Secondly, the gym has now closed down *The woes!!*

Any suggestions please?

Ideally you would mention it but if you were a full time student at the time you can just list that. No need to get a letter or anything, it's unimportant.

Seniors, please help!

I am about to submit my application for FSW 2014 and upon review of documents, I have noticed my WES result has an error. The Date of Birth in the WES ECA result is wrong. It is suppose to be November 02, 1986 but November 12, 1986 is written. I checked why could there be such error and I realized that the college TOR I submitted had a typographical error and November 12, 1986 is written there. I checked the photocopy of the application form for WES and I have written November 02, 1986.

*All my other documents (Birth Cert, Other TORS, etc. have November 02, 1986)

I went to my institution and had the typographical error corrected. I e-mailed my situation to WES and I'm waiting for their reply.

Any insights on my situation?

Thanks Shah
One more thing is I had been working in same company since 1997 and I got single letter of reference mentioning my job duties period wise will it work or should I get different Reference letter for each job.
Can I fill different NOC in 12b eg. if in the period from may 2012 till now some duties match with 0124 and some with that of 1114 .
Thanks

Dear All

I am eligible for FSW. I have worked for 3 years in a multinational bank. However, the firm only provides a standard employee reference letter. The letter does not disclose salary or the main duties undertaken by the employee. The firm does not make any exceptions.

Would that be sufficient for claiming points for work experience?

Many thanks in advance

Absolutely NOT acceptable! You MUST give a description of your job duties and it cannot come from yourself.

If you can't get a letter from the company, get a personal letter from a senior and explain to CIC that company policy doesn't allow for reference letters.

Good luck.

Hey. Just saw this and thought to put my two cents in. Actually it may be a biggish issue if 1) the applicant has been working at this job for "ALMOST" a year, and 2) this is the primary NOC he/she has applied for. No date on the ref letter , saying Mr. X has been working for this organization from, say, 1st August 2013 till date. Technically, he could have obtained the letter in February or april or June 2014, in which case the requirement of atleast 1 year under the primary NOC is not fulfilled. So not having a dated letter may cause concerns.

This was actually my case as well, and i had to get a new letter before sending the application, and had to actually wait till 14th June before sending, as my ealier letter stated date as 'from 14th June 2013 to date'.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, late reply - I am not sure how seriously they take such omissions; it is entirely their call - and don't even know if there is a standard answer for this or if it varies from checker to checker.

On the face of it this may seem minor, but again hard to tell how CIC guys view this. I would say remain positive. This is one of those classic cases where one says "hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst." Not trying to scare you though, it sure has more positive chances (according to me) than negative vibes. Good luck to both! :)

PS - Okay, so read later that someone reported positive news on a similar case so you should be more relaxed now, and yes if you are still working at this job all the more reasons to not worry, I agree!

Brother,

Thats a good thing that ECAS as updated....

I have seen rejection cases....But those are very rare case...

No need to thing about this....No need to keep extra pressure on ur mind....

Enjoy ur time....!

Hope all goes well now on and also hope SGVO works in a bit faster speed so that the files of FSWP 2013 in being cleared and your visa is being issued. And then they start processing ours as well. ;D

Thank Century you mean I can apply under 0111 even if my current job duties are not under NOC 0111.

Hi Bosschips, In my limited knowledge this should not be a reason to worry; you can very well explain the error in the cover letter and that should suffice. Check what others have to say. Cheers! :)

Thanks Oscar7! :-) Others are saying that I should get a new WES ECA with the correct Date of Birth. I'm still waiting for WES reply to my e-mail.
