Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum.. my significant other is currently living in Scotland. Since I am a Canadian citizen and the opportunities are better in Canada then in Scotland we are trying to figure out how he can immigrate to Canada. He has a college HND diploma, a BSC and an MSC all in forestry (with specialization in fields such as soil science, aquaculture, agriculture etc). Ideally we would like to settle in Ontario as that is where myself and my family live. I am really unsure about the best way to go about doing this as the Canadian Immigration website is so confusing- I am basically at a loss! I would like to avoid sponsorship or marriage just to get him over. He would also like to try to do it on his own. The whole process is just so confusing! If anyone could give me ay advice I would be very grateful!

Samantha

Morning guys,

I recently got a fresh passport with spouses name included in it. But I didnt change my surname to his. Will that be a problem ?
Please advice? In the marriage certificate, my name is mentioned twice with both the surnames ( After and before marriage).

I have filled all the forms with my own surname and not with my husbands.

Please suggest any supporting documents or procedure to make sure this doesnt create a problem.

Regards,
Keerthi.

This will not be an issue as all your educational and other docs are in earlier name. You mentioned even your marriage certificate carries both names.

Pls mention in the generic form about any other names you have used in personal details section Question 2.
Also to be on the safer side you can provide affidavit if you wish. But I don't think it's necessary.

seniors help again please,

regarding educational documents:

I have prepared all the doc submitted to WES tor and diploma of masters and bachelors degree, my question is do i have to include my secondary/highschool diploma and tor? WES did not evaluate my secondary credentials since I have masters degree.

please advice.

Although the case varies based on the Country and sometimes the Univ. from where an applicant wishes to undergo WES Evaluation, ideally, you do not need to submit your high school diploma when your highest education is a Masters Degree.

Documents relating to Masters and Bachelors should suffice in your case (and generally in such cases) unless WES has 'specifically' asked for it.

ok.Thank you very much.

Please guide properly, it may vary with country, better check WES website.

But for my case I was asked to send Secondary School Certificates by WES for that I had to wait for 20 days to get my documents attested and to reach their office.
