Hi everyone :),

although this wont be relevant for me since I have crossed that stage, though just wanted to know which one is better?? will really help many others though

CREDIT CARD Vs DEMAND DRAFT

I SAY DEMAND DRAFT :D :D ;D ;D ;D

what's best in your opinion? :D :D ;D ;D ;D

DD definitely. You have proof in the form of photocopy of the DD with DD nos, etc.

Moreover, I wouldn't like to share the 3 digit code on the back of the card with anyone, even CIC. Credit card frauds are rampant these days.

Hi,
One of my previous company doesn't provide experience letter with roles and responsibilities as it is against the company policy.
Had a email conversation with the company hr that there wouldn't be able to provide an experience letter with the required format.
So i did notarized the self declaration with roles and responsibilities and also had one from my colleague (worked with me in that company) .
Do i have to send the original notarized letters to CIC or just a photocopy of it?
Along with them i will send the offfer letter + resignation letter+email conversation with hr+last 3mnths payslip+latest form16+appraisal letter/hike letter+certifications

I see in cic website to avoid sending unnecessary documents. But sending all the above documents will give them a clear picture of my job ,role, salary.
Please guide..

Thanks

Pls send the supporting docs. It will help.

Also the colleagues affidavit will be fine, but self affidavit is not accepted by CIC.

You will need to send original affidavits as per my knowledge.

[size=9pt] Dear, Don't underestimate the power of a common man 'that has internet' ;) if you only start searching "ways of developed countries" or "way of life in Canada" or "what to expect in canada" on web and youtube you would not be willing to sign-up for my paid classes LOL (j/k)

*Be creative* :)

[size=8pt] I thought of jotting down a few points on this topic. Good luck to all prospective immigrants!! :) :) :)

1- The question is not whether people are successful there - the real question is if 'I' or 'my family' will be successful there. A lot are successful!!!

2- I am sure even from within us a good 25 to 30% will pack their bags back in some time, though the actual percentage may vary. But a good percentage will be successful, and that is what really matters.

3- Hints of who will be successful - people that are already familiar with ways of the developed world, or people who have prepared themselves well for the upcoming move, or people that are ready to invest a lot in re-educating themselves, or simply people that are smarter and find solutions.

4- Who is coming back then - people who need hand holding in almost every thing on a day to day basis, or people who don't have much to give but are only there to ask all the time, or people who do not know where to find what info, or people who are constantly worried. The new culture will sense your insecurity soon and use it to their advantage.

Asking is okay though, it is foolish not to ask. But one should put effort themselves rather than look for short cuts. I'd say even making mistakes is ok, not a big deal if one made a mistake and let's say application returned - we always learn.

The essence of the post is for us to identify where we fit and understand what we can do to 'upgrade' self for this major transition in life. After all, we all want to make a success out of this, though not all will be able to. Ask yourself, have I invested properly to ready myself for this move!

Hopefully the post sounds with a balanced view but please do let me know if it sounds one-sided (can even PM me if this offends you LOL instead of whacking my a$$ in public), or if I may have forgotten to include something critical. Please research well there is ton of information out there - both readable and video. Plan to land as single (this is for some, if not for all) to make your initial struggle a bit easy on the pocket as well as on the mind. All the best in the next steps!! :) :-* ;D Let the good news for the day keep rolling!!!! :P

+1 when karma allows.

Stole it and posted on site :) http://www.fsw2014.info/prepare-for-canada/

[size=9pt] Too bad the link is not working, is there an e-mail ID to correspond with them at or a CS phone #?

Sending them anything before getting a confirmation that your file is already at VO is not a great idea. May be seek ashif or Century or kollin's take on this please..

Hi Ashif, Century, Kollin,

Could you please help me on my situation?

I missed to update few fields in some forms. my CC got charged and I got the PER. 7th May applicant and received PER on 27th Jul.

1) I have to update my spouse travel to Singapore
2) Update my spouse and my sister's info
3) Update about US F1 Visa reject.

Can I resend these 3 forms to NDVO office now or should I wait till I get the AOR from NDVO. Because, few people got their MR without the AOR. So I am kinda confused on should I wait for AOR or send the updated forms now.

Received PER email few minutes back. :) ;D

App received date: 12th May 2014
NOC: 2173
CC Charge Date: 28th July 2014

PER Email receive date: 21 August 2014

Oh and forgot to mention: SS updated before posting here 8)

@ mikeypm

I am thinking of requesting Oscar to put his Crystal Ball infront of his lap top and start live video feed ...... so tht everyone can check wht they want, rather than bothering him with so many requests ;D

P.S: As others will also be able to see the live feed, don't embarrass yourself by checking non CIC related stuff. Protect your privacy!!!

Lol +1

Hi everyone,

I'm sending in a second application under the same NOC code since I feel that I have made some errors in the first application. Is this accepted?

Thanks.

You are allowed to send multiple applications.
