Hi,

Congrats to all who have got their CC/DD charged and others who have got their PER.

I have below queries, can seniors provide some inputs:

1) I got married in Feb, 2014. My spouse passport is pre-marriage passport which does not contain my surname. Do i need to change it before i get any MR or PCC request ? If no then would she be able to travel with her pre-marriage passport ?
2) During last 11 years i have been lived in:
Haryana: 4 years
Mumbai : 2.5 years
Gurgaon (NCR) :4.5 years (Latest)

Do i need to provide PCC for all 3 or the latest one would suffice

One PCC should be fine. Gurgaon seems good... btw, I'm also residing in Gurgaon for the past 5.5 years ...Cheerrs!

Hi,One query to all seniors plz.
The ECA taken from WES (paid 249$ with US equivalency summary) to claim for US student visa can be used for FSW??? Or is there any process to get the same upgraded?Plz suggest friends.

Hi friends,

:D

Thanks for the people who replied on the weight of the package query!! We had a hell of a night!! Actually we are filling through an agent in Pune and boy, are we having sleep less nights!! :-\

These guys gave us the wrong tracking Id for our application courier to CIC, we tracked it and the package got delivered to WES instead!! :P & we literally didn't sleep the whole night!! Finally got the correct tracking Id and got confirmation that it's our packet itself from return address etc!! Phew!!

Each day we repent why we didn't come across this forum before we signed up with these agents!! Now till we get our PER mail there will be this uneasiness that hope they have not made any other silly mistake in our application!! Though we've double checked everything so relaxed now!!

Anyways for now relaxed, application will reach CIC today!! Plus it's for 2174 :D ;D

So gonna be a border line case for sure!! But I have a feeling we'll make it within the cap!!

Thanks a lot to all the forum friends who replied to each of my queries which made us double sure that we have crosschecked everything to be correct with the agents, in the end you have to yourself make sure everything is 100% correct!!

Thanks again for your help and good luck to all of us!! :-* 3 months wait now!! 8)

I have stayed in 5 states in past 10 years and more than 6 months in each.Do I have to provide for each state or current state where I have been living for past 3 years now. Moreover on cic site they say "You and all of your family members who are 18 years of age and older and who are not already permanent residents or Canadian citizens will have to provide:
•a valid police certificate, or
•police clearance, or
•record of no information."

So along with my PCC,do I have to provide for my father, mother and Sister who is married ?

You need to get only one PCC for India rather than different states. Generally, you may apply through PSK located in your city and take the appointment by paying Rs.500 through online.

PCC for family means- You, your spouse and children/s age of 18 years or older

@ Sukirat

1. You need to take police clearance certificate for your current residence only.
2. PCC is required only for main (principal) applicant and his/her dependents who are also applying for PR. So if you have shown your parents as dependents in your application, then PCC is required for them, else not.

Yes Tansem, you have got PER!!
Yes it is PER...
It's party time now :)

Thanks for confirming SM9.

So what is the probability of getting the PR after this stage. Is there anything which I should have readily available before the next step.

After your application has received a PER, it is transferred to the relevant visa office. Further evaluation and an additional eligibility review is done at this stage.
CIC will update your ECAS once it has been received at the Visa Office . You will see this in ECAS as "Received by visa office".

You may opt for a PCC in advance.I can say chances are very strong after receiving PR but it depends upon other factors too.

This is strange. CIC never calls. When application is returned you must have got a letter stating the reason for it.
I called them i have uci no from last year application how many times i should explain plz read all the posts.
