Assets = Property+settlement fund = 15000+15000 = 30000
Liability = 7000
Settlement Fund = 15000

See more at http://www.fsw2014.info/proof-of-funds-for-the-application/ .

As long as you have settlement fund, no worries.

Thanks century.

Im just worried that my personal bank loan will impact my settlement fee.. because the loan is a personal bank loan which means there is no protection or collateral like property or etc...

this is really discouraging, but still a lot of people apply for canada..

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]This is true...i met a guy called Siddharth, who came to canada on PR from India..he came in like 3 months back and left yesterday...because he could not find a job of his caliber...

The problem is people come here and expect job in same category as u were working back home...Its not there immediately...But it comes...for sure...need a lot of patience...and courage to do part time and small jobs like retaurants, malls, gas stations etc...Depends purely on luck..

Canada is not USA...jobs here dont give u 70k or 80k or 100k...ofcourse people in USA and consultants there show fake experience. but here in canada there is nothing like fake experience... so people of 4-5 years experience get entry level jobs of 30k-50k...which sometime is bad...

Nothing is discouraging in canada. Life is good. people are good. just dont expect and u will do good...

I don't think, there will be any problem for getting PER for this reason. But VO may raise issue. They may think, you took loan for arranging settlement fund. So, suggest you to keep your settlement fund intact.

Lol, people in USA don't get jobs of 80-100k becuase they show fake experience, its because of their skills and the demand for those high level skills which brings the salary to that level. Ofcourse there are some people who show fake experience but that is just 5% of the whole lot and these guys never get a 80-100k job, they get a job around 50-60k. Only people with advanced skills and really high calibre get a job of 80-100k and the fact is the entire silicon valley is full of these kind of people so almost everyone falls in this category except a few who go through consultants and show fake experience, these guys get jobs around 50-60k and all the companies know that their experience is a fake and not a real one.

Recruiters in the US are really smart here, they know everything :)

Unlike canada people are not valued by their years of experience and even a guy with just 1 year experience can earn more than a guy with 10 years of experience. It all depends on how much your value is and how much do you exactly know rather than valuing you by you years of experience which is a stupid way of judging people

[size=9pt] Okay, give me a week until my next weekly call with Chr1s - I will make them an offer that they can't refuse!!! ;)

No point giving them too much responsibility at once - let's see how they first do on Partner Shah's PER. One step at a time!!! Don't want them to try running before they can walk, else they might stumble lol like they did in 2011 and remained close for a year thereafter 8)

Oscar7, any particular reason why your number of posts varies every day!I saw it 373 earlier now its like 350. :o :o :o

Do you delete them sometimes! Any particular drawback for high amount of post?

Exactly!! :)

I dunno if any one here experienced a similiar situation. Please advise, if you know how to overcome this.

We got the medical request on 07/11 and had the medicals done on 07/21.
When we went to the doc, they were unable to 'locate us' on their system.
So they created a something and asked us to mail it back to CIC along with the PCC and RPRF receipt. So we did that.

So far ECAS status has not been updated. We called the doc again and they advised us to email or call CIC.

Should be just wait? We have another 3 weeks until we use up the 60 days from 7/11.
Appreciate your help!

Exactly. I think my package will be returned. Trying to get spouse on board for IELTS. Might be too late.

Folks,
I'm sorry, new to the forum hence unaware of the forum-etiquette.
My IELTS is slated for 20th Sep., so I'm expecting results in the first week of Oct., lets say 3-4th Oct. (takes 13 days for the result as I read).

If I start now, I expect my ECA would probably be completed by that time (Oct. 3rd). would that be a good time to apply for 2173 (Software engineers and designers) occupation or am I already very late for this year? Of course don't want to waste time and money if it has no chance or even very bleak...

Saw that link on CIC's website which gives you a sense of how many applications have been accepted as of date. That says only 139 out of 1,000 however I have heard that this link is not reliable as the website doesn't get updated very well.

Pls advise. Appreciate it.
