some of the respected forum members shared this info that the PR visa has an expiry date.

now I was thinking, if u r granted a pr status then why they have to put an expiry on that visa? and suppose for whatever reason if u cant fly within that expiry date then what happens? ur pr gets cancelled or what?

Looks like you have some misunderstanding.

CIC issue you Single entry visa(only for Non-visa exempt country) and COPR. Single entry Visa is just meant to enter Canada for first then after it gets cancelled. You will receive receive PR card after 45-60 . Now say you visited Pakistan for 1 month and when coming back to Canada or to enter Canada again all you have to show is you PR card and Passport. CBSA officer at airport(Canadian) will scan/swipe your PR card and you entry will be made in their system.

Thanks! +1

Congrats for getting married and for MR......its quiet simple if u want to include ur would be spouse just get a marriage certificate from registration office and communicate it to NDVO.or else you land in canada and then sponsor her as spouse but i prefer first option as its hassle free.

yeah i also want to opt for the first option but the days left for MR submission is about 45 days so i think i will need to move fast now

I am confused what should I congratulate you for: getting an MR or getting married ...!! It will be a double blast for you buddy, congratulations..!! (don't forget to invite us all for the feast)

Everybody loves good news, especially when it gives them hope... thanks for sharing the info...

PS: This is just a congratulatory post as am not competent enough to answer your query >:( :D

*Oscar dear, I sent my Spouse's 10th Marksheet in place of Birth Certificate.
*I sent mark sheet because she said 10th Passing certificate is not provided in Haryana board only 10th mark sheet is provided.
*And i attached it just next to my birth certificate in row in package.
Will it will be a problem.
*10th Mark sheet contain D.O.B, father's and Mother's name.
Even i didn't sent any affidavit for that. :(

Guys Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brother Oscar & Century had already provided some lights on this before a month or so. However, still confused about communication channel. Both of you, I would request you to still look into this.

How can we update the local visa office about any change in our file? Mine is NDVO. Because email communication is very poor. They take so much time in responding.
And there is a link where case specific inquiry form is available where we have to provide our details regarding any update. But even after that the same query. it will reach to email communication and that would not be the quick.

If I talk about my case, once my file gets transferred to NDVO, i have to inform them about new passport for me & my wife.
Our old passports were valid but both of our passport were carrying the name of before our marriage.
For example my wife was having her full name & surname of before marriage. And in my passport the spouse section was blank.

Now the pain area for me is that how i will inform NDVO that my old passport is no more valid and we have new passport, and in a way the name for my spouse in the application will also change.

Also, it is a matter of worry that should I send the hard copy of updated passport to NDVO, if yes then how (to which address/addressing what exactly)?
Also, as the name of my spouse is now of after her marraige and the app form is having her signature and name of her older passport which was her name before marriage. then will I be asked for updated forms?

Guys please help. This is killing me and making me nervous. I am the FSW 2014 applicant. And can expect PER in a month or so.

Happy for you...
Double celebration.....
+1 for you
You can do one thing...
Try to get arrange certificate before getting married...
I mean to say try to registered your marriage before 7 of of september and send your updated information to visa office...they will guide you to send updated forms nd others stuffs

I will request to all not to do that,.
if they call for interview they inquire for the marriage album.

Then you are screwed it the asked and you don't have.
I know because one my cousin had this issue
