why u want to send a new report of ielts? u didn't sent it with app? or u attempted it again now? if u sent it with app then wait for per, after that u can send it directly to ur visa office with reference uci no.

experts plz advice.

Previously I've filed the application and reached cic on 3rd July 2014 but my points were 66(IELTS report included) so i know they will return my application now I've again given the IELTS this time i'm getting 70 points total. I have all the documents ready. But as it say's here:

Form the guide http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg77
"Do not submit documents that are not found on the checklist and do not send duplicates of your application or documentation."

I'm confused should i send another application with new IELTS report with a new DD or just send the report?? :(

Once you get the PR how much time do you have to make the first entry? One of the forum members posted their stamped passport pic and looks like its about 10 months. Will this be the same for everybody? It starts to count from the date of your medicals. 1 year to land as confirmed by seniors and already landed persons

Also, do most people land in Canada and then search for a job or do they find a job from their CoR and then fly? Most people find jobs when they arrive Canada
See above, cheers :)

@ Folks,

Any 8th per mail is pending as of me :( :( :(

Hey Anil, just wait for the good news..No one here knows exactly how their procedures are... ::) ::)
What I feel is that if it was a NER you would have got that email by last week itself, they might be taking extra time for assessing
your WES report or some other doc's before giving a PER. Good luck and all the best...

Ur application receive date at CIC was 20th may?? But currently thy r charging 14th may.. are thy processing applications randomly??

I guess charging comes at later stage and they do scanning 1st for complete package

some of the respected forum members shared this info that the PR visa has an expiry date.

now I was thinking, if u r granted a pr status then why they have to put an expiry on that visa? and suppose for whatever reason if u cant fly within that expiry date then what happens? ur pr gets cancelled or what?

If you are sure that you first application has 66 points then for sure it is coming back without getting charged/DD cashed.

You are free to send another application if you think you meet minimum eligibility criteria. Send complete package including update payment info or new dd.

Good luck for new application.

As you are aware about the chances of application return, file the new application ASAP.

Wow... so it is multi level screeing before charging??
I was actually not aware of this. ..

To keep your PR active you have to stay for 3 years in every 5 years. And you have to show entry before the Visa expires.

dude I m 8 may applicant and recvd my per on 19 aug, so just wait for the good news. if its getting late its good for u. people still getting per for even 6 may.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brother Oscar & Century had already provided some lights on this before a month or so. However, still confused about communication channel.

How can we update the local visa office about any change in our file? Mine is NDVO. Because email communication is very poor. They take so much time in responding.
And there is a link where case specific inquiry form is available where we have to provide our details regarding any update. But even after that the same query. it will reach to email communication and that would not be the quick.

If I talk about my case, once my file gets transferred to NDVO, i have to inform them about new passport for me & my wife.
Our old passports were valid but both of our passport were carrying the name of before our marriage.
For example my wife was having her full name & surname of before marriage. And in my passport the spouse section was blank.

Now the pain area for me is that how i will inform NDVO that my old passport is no more valid and we have new passport, and in a way the name for my spouse in the application will also change.

Also, it is a matter of worry that should I send the hard copy of updated passport to NDVO, if yes then how (to which address/addressing what exactly)?
Also, as the name of my spouse is now of after her marraige and the app form is having her signature and name of her older passport which was her name before marriage. then will I be asked for updated forms?

Guys please help. This is killing me and making me nervous. I am the FSW 2014 applicant. And can expect PER in a month or so.
