1. 2171 is relatively less in demand, only 10% cap has been filled by application received till 8th May. in-flow of apps slowed down gradually after that, so hopefully u will be able to make it.

2. U already have done major tasks/expense, now all u have to lose other than the opportunity is courier fee, so try ur level best. Make sure u r ready with exp letter before u get ECA so no extra time is wasted. To save lot of time (if u r not from US), what u can do is get ur ECA fwd to a friend in Canada and in the meantime u also send him ur app, and then he can post locally. It will save u at least 8 days (4-5 days of ECA receipt and then 4-5 days app )

3. The official link is @@@@@@ but it reflects only the apps for which PER has been issued. CUrrenty its as of 8th May and few 9th may. U can also check the latest status (including in transit apps) and estimates of cap fill (which i think is sometimes after sept for 2171) on group maintained Spread Sheet, which conservatively represents around 20% of global apps. Seniors, a query. I'm a june 19th applicant, NOC 0013. By all appearances, our cc charge date would be in Nov/Dec. If I'm optimistic, I can expect a positive decision by the 3rd quarter of 2015. Now the query is, my wife is doing a PhD with a university whose PhD programme is affiliated with McGill University. She has the option of tranferring her degree to McGill, either in 2015 or 2016. The thing is, if this immigration thing does go through, inshallah, we would be required to be in Canada, but we can't be in Quebec. (McGill is in Montreal, Quebec btw). So in that case, if we opt for the transfer programme, how would we work around living in Quebec, while on FSW? Please note that as spouse of a PhD student, I would still be allowed to work fulltime. I just don't know if time spent in Quebec after getting PR for FSW would count towards the time span required to stay in Canada to get citizenship. Any thoughts? Oscar, Century, Shah, anyone?

Finally Received PER email ( just 30 minutes ago) ;D ;D... I was a bit worried... I guess it longer time than other 8th May applicants because of my work experience letter documentation

always when applying think logical and provide every evidence that you can provide to show why...

Hello Seniors,

Congrats to all those who received their PERs, I will have to be a little selfish and confess that the numbers have now bummed me. I am applying under 3142 which has now creeped up to 31 applications, and increase of nearly 20 in 2 updates. :-X

I will be able to apply only towards the end of September and wonder if it makes any sense now. Checking previous forums gives me no solace either. My Canadian dream is turning me crazy. Sigh!!

My wife was previously working with an international insurance company as a manager but was working in the pensions claims dept. Can we apply under category 1212 with her as the principal applicant. I am a bit skeptical as her experience is with pensions and not insurance claims.

Any thghts pls

I don't think that the reputation of the company matters,as long as you can convince them that you are genuine with a proper proof then it should be ok. put your self in charge of evaluating your own application and think if someone is submitting these documents to you ... what you will think.. someone just says he does these duties and he didn't proof that the company doesn't provide a letter with duties.

in my opinion if you can't get a letter with duties then get a letter from the company which says we do not provide detailed job duties etc... I was trying for this one but i could not get this one as well.

So FINALLY we have confirm proof of SELF DECLARED DUTIES, but with a PROOF and from REPUTABLE COMPANY.

NOC specficinfo :2133 currently has 55 (5%) apps as per CIC which means it can easily stretch to end of Oct.

Please advice if I shall be applying by 1st/2nd week of September in NOC 2173. Do I stand a chance ..I have been delayed by couple of months by WES asking me to resend documents 3 times.
