I am the principal applicant..have submitted my documents full fledged, however my spouse does not possess experience letter in two of his job..since it was across the border or abroad.. wud that be a point of concern that my application has not been put into processing?....Also I have made a file where I have kept the sticky notes as advised by my solicitor pointing the document title.

I need your inputs friend...so I could be a bit relieved.

First thing you do not require any documents of spouse apart from passport, birth certificate and Ielts (if sending). (you have provided then also its fine)
Sticky notes and all other stuffs are not at all any convey any concerns.

Well hope for the best. But 14th May is fully loaded and bit heavy. So less chances for 15th in this week.

My friend has applied for FSW 2014 and is awaiting his turn. After applying for immigration he changed his daughter's name legally who is also accompanying. Could you please tell me whether his application will be rejected at local VO due to this. Any precautionary steps to be taken?

Hi Guys,

I received PER on 13 June 2014 and since then I had neither got any update from local VO nor any update in the ECAS status. My question is when does local VO initiate background check. Is it only after sending AOR/update in ECAS status or they can start verification before these steps also?

If you are the principal applicant, the reference letters for your spouse is not required except he worked in Canada previously in which case, it will need to be obtained. You are free to include the copies of his employment letter instead but it is not required as per the Document Checklist if it is not for previous Canadian employment. All the best

Unless I am missing something, in which case more seasoned veterans will correct me. Only the principal applicant needs to submit experience letters, not the accompanying spouse. Spouse related docs are birth cert, IELTS (for 5 addtn pts), Marriage certs or Affidavit + imm5409e, passport, national id card.

Hi Guys,

I had my application prepared by mid July but my IELTS result was postponed and came out on 2nd July. I finally finished and submitted my thoroughly reviewed application on 10th July. Ites been over a month and no communication yet.

Application sent date: 10th July
NOC Code: 1112
Already accepted applications(18th Aug): 292.
CC Details given but not yet charged.
Case officer not allotted yet.
Sad
I am worried if I will be able to make it within the 1000 cap for NOC1112. Any luck ?
Can someone also tell me what does the acronym PER stand for ?

Where do you get this information from ? That CIC has been able to go only uptil 14th May as of now? any sources to add to my worry ?
Talking about maths, I am hoping there would be an exponential decrease in the number of applications with every passing day for each Job Code .....

This timeline itself. And the Spreadsheet.

Also the applications will decrease over time - but not exponentially. No at least for the top 2 NOCs which are 2174 and 1112.

Hi,

I have a question to ask. I got my consultant to fill up my application including the IME0008 form for me and at the last moment I decided to file the application myself. The consultant got all pages printed for the application after having saved and validated the file. As I decided to file in the application myself , I made changes to PAGE 2 for Spouse IELTS and Correspondence Address ( Changed from consultant address to My home address) and took print out of just the second Page without validating the application again and attached it to the printed copy of the form which the consultant took out for me.

In precise words I replaced the 2nd page of the application form and attached the new printed copy

I want to understand, if this would impact my application in any way??
What purpose does the bar code hold? Is there some information which the CIC scans from the bar code to update my details in their system?

Again, the veterans can add on or correct me. If the application has already been sent in, and the name has been legally changed thereafter, I understand that you will have to notify CIC. A name change affidavit + cover letter explaining the change will need to be sent to CIC. The veterans can help as to how to execute that. I think you may have to wait for your application to get processed, before you can do that, so there is a reference under which this can be filed. I do not believe this is a rejection reason, since you can prove through the name change affidavit, that you changed the name after the application sent date.
