New CAP update certainly caused some drama...

In SS there are about 120 applicants for 2174 till 8th May. PERs reported in SS till 8th May around 80. Rejection rate cannot be 33%. I bet many inactive applicants have not updated the ss or are yet to update ss. Actual % could be slightly higher but it is anybody's guess

Also 2174 also has a few sister NOCs. June and July applicants may have opted for those ( if possible in their case) in large numbers given the hotness in 2174.

Too many variables are at work. Cant simply go by the % of forum PERs to total PER. This ratio may change with each update.

I have done some math on NOC 2174 based on the latest official CAP updates.

Conclusion: CAP was already reached for NOC 2174 on July 17th!!

Math:

313 PER for this NOC were received until yesterday (Official CIC number). And in the spreadsheet, 85 PER were received for this NOC until yesterday.
Thus, 85/313 = 27% of all 2174 applicants worldwide are using our spreadsheet.
Assuming this percentage is steady over time (I hope it isn't), we know that application #270 in the spreadsheet would be application #1000 worldwide.
Looking into the SS, I found that application #270 has reached CIO on 7/17.

I don't like to be pessimistic, but I don't like to deceive myself either. Maybe it's time to move on with another project in life, at least until EOI is on

Yes, I agree, that sounds more like the number of applications that they've checked and found that all the documents are included and, hence, a CC charge has been done. PER is another ball game though!

Yes they only count the cases for which the PER's are given as if any application is cancelled after charged, will they reverse no. of caps

Few Things to note:
Forgot to write name in native language.
I had two different names so gave affidavit for that.
Also, only gave experience letter for last companies though provided every detail of current company.
Once again, big celebration time. I'm gonna give food to 100 poor people tomorrow.

Few things noteworthy about my app -

1. I sent additional documents which were received by Mike on May 24th. I forgot to fill my name in native language in my original app.

2. I used Employee Provident Fund as POF

3. I got a reference letter from my manager on the company letter head.

4. For the reference letter of my previous company I had used the NOC description from 2173 and 2174 merged the ones which are applicable to me and used the sentences as is. No change.

can anyone suggest that what if want to accompany our parents under FSW category?
As per FSW rules only PA,Spouse & kids can accomapany. What is the other way out to travel to canada with parents?

You can immigrate first, then sponsor your parents.

You are totally right about the first argument. I overlooked this, and it may considerably raise the forum/worldwide ratio.

However, while the second argument makes a lot of sense, it is not relevant to the forum/worldwide ratio calculation.
