Masters in any field will fetch you 23 points.

But it needs to be assessed and confirmed by a designated agency like WES.
there is lot of ambiguity around this I see there are pages of debate around masters and corresponding points for it. but PDF on CIC categorically states its 23 points for masters and there is a note for other professional degree.
Thanks cjg again for posting that link

I just got my IELTS score and I get 21 points from it.
IELTS 21
EDUCATION 23
Age 12
Work experience 11

Over all 67

so my application depends on my masters degree and a point less would make my app meaningless so pls refrain from posting stuff which in contradicting the CIC

Great. But then which documents requires notarization?

cjg1987 said:
1. Yes original translated document by certified translator. Keep photocopy for your own record.

2. Yes original Affidavit. Again keep photocopy for your own record.

3. Thats correct

@ cjg1987

1. the English or French translation; (I will include the original translated document as part of the application or its photocopy?)
2. an affidavit from the person who completed the translation;(Again original affidavit will be part of the application or ots photocopy?)
3. a certified copy of the original document. (Original Document as in the document which is in Urdu?)

Am I getting it right: If I will send my application before cap officially announced it will take part in FSW? Or not?

Continue the process dont stop

If the cap is there fine or you have nothing to lose

Also, the cap for 2131 will be there definitely.

Anyway, if the cap is filled you are ready for Express Entry

Regards

U need to notarize the original translated doc n send it along with photocopy of original. All docs in english do not require notarization but in my case my consultant made me notarize alll photocopied docs those even in english.

Masters degree after proper evaluation and subsequent equivalence to Canadian masters degree will definitely fetch any applicant 23 points.
Nevertheless,Some Masters degree after evaluation are only equivalent to Bsc,hence it will fetch 21 points for such applicants.
It's because of situations like this that I try to advice applicants to evaluate both Bsc and Msc so that if your Msc is equivalent to Bsc,you will still be able to get 22 points by virtue of the evaluation of the two degrees.
Cheers.
