I have bad news for all. Just now I confirmed with Forex department from last year all Demand Draft validity has been reduced to 3 months only. Now issue is with this speed we all are going to face issue if we have paid fee through DD.

I have confirmed by calling JPMorgan chase Bank in Canada also. This bank usually have all bank Demand draft issued in international currency in India.

Hey guys, congratulations to all who have received good news. Any updates on the June 13th applicants yet? Just called my bank again (Standard chartered and they are not able to tell me whether the Bank draft went through or not. Said they cant advise but from their side, it was successful...bummer!!. I guess i just have to wait for communication from Citizen and immigration. How long does it take from encashment to date of receiving PER? From which email address should one expect a PER notification from? Thank you!

June 13th you are going to be waiting a while. Your application hasn't been opened. CIC are currently running completeness checks on May 12th and 13th applications.

Please can someone tell me when do they give us the UCI number ? in order to check online ?

NB: i have a representative ( consultant ) who has his email and info on my application .

should i ask him about the UCI number ? my application was received on July 29

Thank you for replying ?

If you have a UCI from some previous application for a Canadian visa, you can use that. It's the same for life. If you don't have a UCI, you will have to wait for your PER e-mail which will contain the UCI.

July 29th applications are not going to be processed for several months yet.

Hello Guys,

I have 8 yrs of exp in finance field but my present and ex-employers are not ready to provide job reference letters. I got emails from them stating they do not have policy to provide job reference letter.

Can i attach affidavit along with those emails and employment letter, pay slip etc with my file?

Awaiting your replies.....

Thanks

Self-attested job duties are unacceptable and will be rejected. Get a personal letter from someone who knew your duties (like a supervisors or colleague) instead.

Good luck.

It seems money is more important to them this time... 8)

If that is true then PER would be the last thing on their mind and they would be charging and encashing like it was going out of fashion. I doubt I will get PER in 2014 as my app was received on 26th May and it's middle of August and they haven't even reached the middle of May. At this pace my CC may not be charged till October or November and then PEr maybe Jan 2015?

Hi guys,
I am planning to send my application within two weeks enshalla but i am confused coz i have a Bachelor degree as computer engineer but i have 5 years' experience as construction estimator which is the NOC I'm planning to apply for.
I asked one consultant to send the application through him but he reject to do so since he is confidence that my file will be rejected because my education is not matching my NOC & experience.
Please, advise if somebody been in the same situation and his or her application got accepted.

Thanks aloot.

Your consultant is wrong. If you meet the requirement for your primary NOC through your job experience there is no requirement that your degree match. Exceptions are for certain specialty occupations like medicine, but that doesn't apply to you. You are free to apply.

Consultants are often wrong and may not have your best interest at heart. Send your application without worry and if you have questions about completing it, ask us.

Good luck!

Hi future_canadian,

Although this point has been well established during so many discussions on this forum, but do we have sufficient instances of successful applications to prove this. Just curious because I have always found this to be an unreasonable (although lucky) criterion as far as FSW program is concerned.

Hi, do you know in which time of day dose CIC send PER to the emails?

Your husband is getting 15 points from position A and B. However, I suggest to include position C also as it is within 10 years.

It will not harm anything, if full period of A is mentioned.

As points are not claim against position A, only provide appointment/release letter.

As said earlier, my choice is option 1.

Cheers

Seniors, pls help......................

My husband has been with his employer since 2001, ie. more than 10 years,he has worked in 3 different positions A, B, C. He is claiming 15 points for NOC code x.

Apr 2009 to present position C NOC code x
Dec 2004 to Apr 2009 position B NOC code x
May 2001 to Dec 2004 position A NOC code y

For position A, only the last 4 months lie within the past 10 years, and NOC code y is not one of the 50 eligible NOC, I have a few questions :
1. If our primary occupation will be NOC code x, should position A (NOC code y) be included in the application form??
2. If I need to specify position A as well, should the full period or just partial period (last 4 months) be specified??
3. Is a reference letter required for position A if it is not used for claiming NOC points? But my husband is not able to obtain reference letter for position A because his previous supervisor has left the company already, will it cause a rejection for missing this reference letter??

4. In schedule 3, what to put in 12b for work experience over the past 10 years? option 1 or 2??

option 1: around 13 years experience (full period of position A, ie. 3+ yrs)

Apr 2009 to present position C NOC code x 4+ years
Dec 2004 to Apr 2009 position B NOC code x 4+ years
May 2001 to Dec 2004 position A NOC code y 3+ years

option 2: exact 10 years of work experience (only last 4 months of position A)

Apr 2009 to present position C NOC code x 4+ years
Dec 2004 to Apr 2009 position B NOC code x 4+ years
Sep 2004 to Dec 2004 position A NOC code y 4 months

That will be a good new year gift. :P :P

I think once 15th May will be over, things will be quicker.

I am not accessing this forum for the last few days. But be rest assured that I will post the reason as soon as I have my file in my hand.

Kudos to you. Keep up the spirits.
All the best for re-applying. :)

Is it fine if some of my documents are notarized and some are not?
