you may want to get the letter on a company letter head. Doesn't have to be your previous company. It can be his/her current company. This gives more authenticity to their testimony. Plain paper is not always a good idea.

Hi buddy,

what you actually mean. Does the reference letter from current company will suffice. I will get reference letter on company letterhead from my current company, but I wont get from previous companies, that y I am using plain paper

Thanks buddy.

I will get reference letter from my current company on letterhead, but I dont get from my previous company as they dont provide refernce letter on letter head for ex-employees. In this case, what can I do. Plan paper is the only option.

What u say?

If you have a colleague who is willing to provide reference to you, then he can on his company letterhead.

Seniors, pls help......................

My husband has been with his employer since 2001, ie. more than 10 years,he has worked in 3 different positions A, B, C. He is claiming 15 points for NOC code x.

Apr 2009 to present position C NOC code x
Dec 2004 to Apr 2009 position B NOC code x
May 2001 to Dec 2004 position A NOC code y

For position A, only the last 4 months lie within the past 10 years, and NOC code y is not one of the 50 eligible NOC, I have a few questions :
1. If our primary occupation will be NOC code x, should position A (NOC code y) be included in the application form??
2. If I need to specify position A as well, should the full period or just partial period (last 4 months) be specified??
3. Is a reference letter required for position A if it is not used for claiming NOC points? But my husband is not able to obtain reference letter for position A because his previous supervisor has left the company already, will it cause a rejection for missing this reference letter??

4. In schedule 3, what to put in 12b for work experience over the past 10 years? option 1 or 2??

option 1: around 13 years experience (full period of position A, ie. 3+ yrs)

Apr 2009 to present position C NOC code x 4+ years
Dec 2004 to Apr 2009 position B NOC code x 4+ years
May 2001 to Dec 2004 position A NOC code y 3+ years

option 2: exact 10 years of work experience (only last 4 months of position A)

Apr 2009 to present position C NOC code x 4+ years
Dec 2004 to Apr 2009 position B NOC code x 4+ years
Sep 2004 to Dec 2004 position A NOC code y 4 months

Hi friends plz help me out from this bizzare situation...
I am having my all appointment letters fro 2002 to till this year
beside April 2008 to march 2009
I lost the document of this period what should I do cover this gap????
Or won't there be any problem ????
Plz reply ....

You should still list it accurately on all forms. You can either try to get a new letter, or explain to CIC why this one is unavailable. However, without a letter you cannot receive points for this time period, so if you need the points, better get a new letter.

Hi,

I am re-posting my query on the work experience points as per following time frames. Please someone clarify me .

1) 2004/12-2006/09 NOC 3012 1 yr but less than 2
2) 2006/10-2010/03 NOC 3012 3 yrs but less than 4
3) 2012/04-2014/06 NOC 3012 2 yrs but less than 3

However, I have worked within same organization i.e number 2 & 3 on two episodes but I just submitted JD for the latest job performed without separate JD for the period of my number 2 experience since I have worked in the same capacity but submitted reference letter ,appointment letter and pay slips for all jobs. Will I get max. 15 points on the basis of information provided?

Really appreciate your feedback on this.

Hi Rohan,

Once you receive the returned application package,

Could you please update in the forum what was the reason of return as described in the letter sent by CIC.
I strongly believe that your application was not returned just because of the IELTS date validity, there could be some more reason mentioned.

BTW, I am also in the same boat as you, My IELTS score report would be valid till November 30, 2014 and am planning to send the package last week of August.

I have already scheduled my next Test on 6th September like you, just incase, if I receive more negative understanding on my current IELTS validity in the forum.

I am in a dilema whether to send the package by end of August or wait for new IELTS report and send by end of septemebr.

Thanks,
Jaysheel

Hi,

Do we need to submit separate JD for the job performed within one organization since the designation and JD's are same, only difference is the time frame. To be exact,I worked from 2006-2010 as staff nurse and I resigned the job to continue my bachelors and joined again the same organization in the same capacity with same JD. While submitting PR application ,I just included latest JD without JD worked from 2006-2010 as my supervisor did not provide JD of previous job but I mentioned this on the economic form. Am I on the safe side in this regard?

From what you describe I don't think you are safe. Does your letter mention that you were with the organization from 2006-10? Does it mention that it was the same position? If so, you are probably fine because it should be obvious, but if the letter doesn't mention that you worked in that organization from 2006-10 and that it was the same position then how can CIC know that you worked there and what you did?

It took around 100 days to process only 9 days (still processing 13th May) of applicant. >:( >:(
Will the coming days progress on this rate??
I can see from the spreadsheet that, after 14th the number of applicants per day are significantly less. So will it be faster?

I think you answered your own question.
