Dear friends,

My question is ....

can any one help me and advise me about how much time does CIC takes to review an application for FSW. I have submitted my application on 10th May 2014 for NOC 2132 and still waiting to get the feedback from CIC. This has been three months now since I applied and my eyes are still looking for the response.

What do you think you should do, should you provide an explanation letter or not? Just that first question first!!! Please think through and share your opinion, immaterial whether it is right or wrong.

PS - Let's ignore dawn's response since it can be right or wrong. We will come to that later!

Thanks for reply.As i am confused that's why i asked. i think should clarify if officer found no link with passport and test report form.but as officer are experienced so easily can find out the reason.so totally depends on cic officer.that's why asked you what should i do???

[size=9pt] The answer to your question lies in your downloading the FSW 2014 spread sheet and taking a look at the FSW Applicants sheet. Have you tried doing that yet? If not, can you try that mate? That way you will have the answer you are looking for!!

PS - BTW, what is that huge number in your ID, is it that amount of CAD you have? LOL if that is true let me know your bank account details haha (kidding)

Guys! Im a medical doctor and it is indeed a regulated one! Im really confused in points! my WES says exactly
"5 YEARS AND 6 MONTHS OF PROFESSIONAL STUDY"

Please advise

If you are applying in a medical NOC, you need to have your degree evaluated by MCC, not WES.

No matter what your evaluation from WES says, you can't apply under a medical NOC without that evaluation.

hey oscar...say if someone misses out the old passport copy....so just ielts with old passport number and new passport copies....will CIC guys figure it out based on issue date that passport might be expired or requested for reissue due to other reasons....

So one could go either way in this case. Most likely what dawn said was right and you too alluded to it. CIC guys are experienced enough to figure that out when one submits passport copies and in your case I would suggest submitting the biodata pages for both passports, new as well as old since the older one's details are on your test results.

But if one is afraid that what if they miss out on finding this one can very well write a cover note to explain the situation, but this is not mandatory. And where do you think one should put a cover note / cover letter in the application if one plans to include that? Again please think and tell us that please.

Hello friends;

Today received the PER Email.

I have applied for NOC 1112 category and my file reached on May 7.

I have updated the sheet. One minor change I have noticed. While HDFC Bank told me that, my DD encashed date was 8th July, today's PER email shows DD encashed date as 2nd July.

The difference between the dates of DD cashing is the difference between when CIC presented it to be cashed compared to when the information was shared and accounts settled between the issuing bank and your bank.

Brother, Do i need to get attestation or notarization on all mark memos and certificates of SSC, inter, B.Tech and M.Tech photocopies when submitting my application?

If they are in a language other than English or French, yes, you need to follow the instructions in the Guide for translated documents.

Otherwise, no.

I have not submitted PCC for my wife (Required from two Countries), also i have not provided any letter of explanation with my forms. Can CIC reject the file on this basis?

No, they'll ask for PCC later.

No..new indian passport does not contain old passport number...

[size=9pt] Mate, The new passport will anyway have the old passport number so no problems at all. Infact rupm also does not need to submit old passport copy in that case, I stand corrected.

In that case you must write explanation what exactly happened (if not expired), and write properly where they can find old passport number in your new passport.

Its depend on what stage your file is returned. If it is rejected due to incompletion (at very initial processing stage) then complete package will be returned along with your fees. Otherwise NO.
