What do you mean by standard paper fingerprint card? Do you mean you printed the FD-258 form on A4 paper? Us e bond paper (Thick paper) to avoid any ink issue.

Oh, so any police station would know how to roll fingers (with/without bribe) I am not from Hyderabad, but as far i know there are few places in Hyderabad where you can go for Fingerprinting. I am not sure whether it's near to your place

1) Rayadurgam police station
2) truthlabs - Their rates are quite reasonable. 1500/- plus some service tax?

Btw, where are you from Ahmedabad? I'm from Hyderabad.

To those whose DD has been encashed

How do you know if it has been encashed? Do you receive a text from the bank or you have to check and go to the bank? Thanks!

Call the overseas bank branch and stay in touch with them. Mine was SBI. I did multiple follow ups with SBI canada local branch (address was on the DD) and after following up regularly they confirmed once DD was encashed.

The nostro account is debited and there is no balance pending {1250 CAD $}

Note :- My ielts expire on 22nd may , file reach on 12th may and dd encash on 8th august

Does anyone know if DHL delivers to CIC on a Saturday! Our application has been sitting at Nova Scotia Sort Facility since yesterday morning. It needs to be delivered to CIC. Does DHL work on a saturday or do i have to wait till monday

Not sure. But you need to push these guys. I had also sent my package thru dhl and once I got to know that it was sitting in some location for a day and didn't move at all, I escalated the matter and did almost hourly follow up to ensure that package was delivered. My package took 5 days in total to reach from India to final destination. I also sent messages on their Facebook page expressing my displeasure with their services. Had I not done these rigorous follow ups, they may have taken even more time. If you are in india, call their Mumbai office and escalate the matter. Remember that only a crying baby gets the milk! I told dhl folks clearly tht these are immigration documents and tht there was no way tht I could afford any delays.

CIC offices are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.... ur package will be delivered on Monday...... DHL doesn't have an office in Sydney,NS....... they use a 3rd party

You are talking about CPC-Ottawa- it does not issue AOR. NDVO does issue AOR.

I think first person is Mr. Ahmad and second is Mr. Rajaram i am after them i got per on 5th june. No news of AOR from NDVO. I feel ndvo may send direct MRs for 2014 applicants as people applied in april 2014 got AORs in just 20 days after per what you think?

Even I have applied from Sydney, Australia. As you have mentioned your VISA office as Sydney.. Is it Sydney, Australia? Did you send across your application from Sydney, Australia? I had my DD drawn from HSBC Bank, Sydney. As you are a Banker, Is there a way you can help me check the status for my DD being en-cashed or not.

I have a police certificate from pakistan up to June 15th 2011 , from 15th June to 31st January 2012 I was in qatar .
From 9th April 2012 to date im in abu dhabi .
Will my first police certificate will be acceptable as it is written on the certificate that it is valid for 6 month only from date of issue (15 june 2011)? Or I have to make a new one ?

This has been raised before but nobody commented on it. It's about the "Estimated date by which you should file your application to be in the cap" field in the spreadsheet.

A couple of forum members including me think that this field is not calculated correctly, and that it may mislead applicants who are still preparing their applications, and make them feel more relaxed about time than what they actually should be.

Take for example NOC 2174. At the time of writing this post, 278 applications have been received and logged in the spreadsheet. Since 31% of applicants worldwide log their names in the spreadsheet (based on actual FSW2013 figures), this means that the total number of worldwide applicants who have submitted their applications under this NOC up to date is 278 / 0.31 = 897. Since 86.92% of applications pass the completeness check and count towards the cap (based on actual FSW2013 figures), 897 * 0.8692 = 780 applications are submitted and will be accepted by CIC for this NOC until today.

Now, about 72 working days have passed since May 1st, 2014, which means that CIC receives 780 / 72 = 10.83 (valid) (complete) (acceptable) (counting towards cap) applications every working day for this NOC. With (1000 - 780) = 220 applications left towards cap, and with 10.83 good applications received per working day, we still have only 220 / 10.83 = 20 working days until this cap is reached. This means that the cap will be reached on September 7th, 2014. How come the spreadsheet says that the estimated date for cap closure is December 16th?
